Balto looked at his son, "Hammy and his friends took care of Steele once and for all. He wont bother us or your son anymore."

Kodi smiled broadly, overjoyed that his father's tormentor was finally gone. "Anything else?" he asked.

Balto nodded, "Hammy told me that he wants to ask Lilly about becoming his mate."

Dusty's tail wagged as she listened to her father-in-law. "I hope it works out. They make such a cute couple," she said. However, Kodi's ears went back. "If they do get together, I'll worry about any pups born to them. Given that Lilly is part wolf, the pups might be wolf-like, and I wouldn't want them to go through what Aleu went through," he said.

Balto reassured, "Aleu did fine, Lilly did fine, and even I did fine. There's nothing to worry about."

Kodi took a deep breath. "Things are difficult for a wolf-dog, but I believe you. You would know more than me. My husky side is more dominant," he said.

Balto smiled, "I'm sure it will be fine."

Dusty stepped in. "I'm proud of Hammy. He accepts Lilly for who she is. He's far better than Steele," she stated.

Balto smiled, "It appears that Hammy took alot from his grandmother." he said, smiling at Jenna.

Dusty smiled. "When he was a pup, I told him to be like his grandmother in the sense of accepting everyone's differences. Any dog who doesn't is foolish," she said.
