Adrian stayed silent but relaxed. He knew his cousin wouldn't be able to find him. He was too heavily concealed. Elisa, on the other hand, didn't have as much cover for her hiding spot. If she moved an inch, she could give away her spot, so she stayed as still as possible.

Leon walked around, then he walked up to the apple tree and casually leaned against it, saying, "Hmm, now where could my cousins and sister have gone?"

Elsa bit her lip, trying not to make a sound. Just a few seconds, she thought to herself. Just a few seconds and he'll be looking somewhere else. But the branch couldn't quite hold her weight, and it snapped. She grabbed onto the trunk, but she knew she had been spotted.

Leon heard the snap and looked up to see Elisa holing onto the tree trunk. "Hi, cousin." He said, smiling. "Well, I guess that's one down and two to go." He said to himself, walking around.

Elisa sighed and slid down the trunk, walking over to her aunt to wait for her cousin to find Twyla and Adrian.

Anna smiled at Elisa and said, "Sucks having to be found first huh?" Leon walked around until he found his sister. "Alright, two down, one to go!" He said running around and looking for Adrian. Twyla pouted a little and went over to her mom and cousin.

"Yeah, it does," Elisa said. She smiled a little when Twyla joined her. "Well, at least you're not the winner two games in a row," she joked.

Twyla stuck her tongue out at her cousin and said, "Yeah, I guess." She sat down beside her mom and picked at a flower. "Hey, you can always win next time. Besides, it's never about winning or losing. It's how you play the game that's more fun." Anna said, trying to cheer her daughter up.

Elisa rolled her eyes. "That's what Mama always says," she said. "Did you guys play these kinds of games much when you were kids?"
