"I wouldn't completely count out the river option. If you feel uncomfortable with it yourself, I will make it my solemn duty to carry out the deed." Tali said dramatically, turning to listen to the second in command and Eon as the spoke of the next place they would stop.

"I take it this place is safe for the time being? Cause not to sound as obnoxious as our shared company, but a bath, a hot meal, dawning some favored armor and having a bow at my side would be much preferred than this. And I bet you would agree. Not only that but you will have time to mourn your men in the meantime."

''Fairhill should be safe for us. The town is enclosed by strong walls, and has always been a key strong point in defending Daryon's East border. They should be having some fine armor and weapons there, if you are at least comfortable wielding them.'' replied Eon.

And so Eon and his Knights settled off to Fairhill. The sun was going down and twilight fell upon the land. Eon couldn't help but think about his lost men, for he knew all of their faces personally.

Tali nodded her head in agreement with Eon and Bemithar, joining the knights and Xandra as they traveled the dark roads of the forest. The twilight sky of night growing ominous as they traveled on. It was a boring travel but all within the party were assured that their leader was taking them to their destination.

-- miles down the road at the entrance of Fairhill --

The sun was just peaking over the horizon by the time Tali, Xandra and the group of knights even began to see a sign of civilization. A collective sigh of relief was shared amongst the group, everyone tired from fighting just hours before and close to exhaustion. Tali and Xandra were the closest among those close to passing out on the ground they tread.

The sun was down completely and it was almost fully dark now. The last ounce of fading sunlight could be observed far beyond the horizon. As they drew near the gate of Fairhill, they were halted by the town guards.

''Greetings, I am Eon of Osendalf and we would like to stay here for the night.'' said Eon.

''Very well, you may come in.'' replied the captain of the town guards.

''But... Who are they?'' he asked, as he pointed to Tali and Xandra.

A few heavy clad soldiers blocked their path as Eon and the knights were allowed in without even a second glance. Tali took a deep breath in and replied to the guard, praying that these quick introductions would be satisfactory enough to grant her a bed, bath, hot meal and some clothes.

"My name is Amalia'Tali, I hail from a providence far from here. I'm currently under the order of sir Eon of Osendalf, nothing more nothing less." Stated Tali matter of factly, hugging the bloody tunic around her body, shivering from the element and the cool morning air. The girl next to her, Xandra, shoulder her way past, shoving Tali back.

"My name is Xandra of..Parzifal... I'm one of the third ranking noble daughters. They're an important noble family in the providence of Darwin. And they have major trades set up with this simple town of yours. I would let me in if I were you or I will not spare you peasants the wraith of my family."

After allowing Tali to pass through, the guards looked at each other for a few seconds, before bursting out into laughter.

''Madame, are you trying to be funny or are you just downright crazy? Get your ass away from here.'' said one the guards to Xandra.

Watching back at Xandra, Eon couldn't help but facepalm. He walked back and took Xandra by the arm.

''Please, don't mind this silly girl, she is somewhat mentally unstable.'' he said, as he pulled Xandra with him through the gate before letting her go again.

''Yes sir Eon, our apologises.'' said the guard.

''You owe me this one. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't be in here right now.'' said Eon to Xandra as he narrowed his eyes to let her know that he wasn't amused by the whole thing.

''You owe me this one. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't be in here right now.'

Xandra pulled her arm out of the ill-tempered mans grasp. "Why the hell would you claim that I'm mentally unstable? You're the one that's foolish enough to allow that monster to follow you around!" She exclaimed loudly, pointing at Tali, "If anything, you need to keep that thing on a leash or put her down." She stormed off, leaving in a huff.

Tali slapped her hand against her face and dragged it down slowly, grumbling loudly. She didn't understand why Eon just didn't let the guards to their job and drag off this so-called noble and drop her in the nearest mental asylum. It was plain as day that she wasn't who she spoke of, so why must they drag her along if she's nothing but a nuisance? And speaking of which, how did she happen to know she was a werewolf? If she just happened to stumble across them, then how was she aware of the secret?

Approaching Eon, she spoke to him after Xandra took off somewhere, "Why'd you bluff for her? That would've been an ample opportunity to get rid of the wretch before she even has a chance to be more of a bother." She paused.

"No matter, that girl is with us now. But keep an eye on her, she knows more than she's letting on. She's a liar and something doesn't smell right with her."

''Believe me, it will only be a matter of time before the people here can take no more and have her kicked out.'' said Eon.

''And not that it really matters, because tomorrow we'll be leaving this Town without her anyway. I just simply brought her here, and now her fate is no longer my concern. I couldn't care less about her.''

Bemithar and the other Knights also passed through the gate, and the guard captain ordered the gate closed. Eon looked around and noticed that the Town was mostly abandoned, rendering him confused for Fairhill has always been a very vivid town.

''What the hell happened to all the citiziens here, and where are the rest of your men?'' asked Eon to the guard captain.

''Most citizens left to move deeper into Daryon's territory, because Fairhill is no longer deemed as safe as it used to be. Our troops have been sent off to aid Isgarith with it's economic woes.'' replied the guard captain.

''I see...'' said Eon, somewhat worried.

''Believe me, it will only be a matter of time before the people here can take no more and have her kicked out. And not that it really matters, because tomorrow we'll be leaving this Town without her anyway. I just simply brought her here, and now her fate is no longer my concern.''

Tali smirked, "Sounds like a fair plan to me. So long as we plan on sticking with it and losing her in the process, the twit." With that, Tali nodded to Eon and left him to his business with other guards. Taking a moment to take in the view of the town. It wasn't anything special, just a simple village nestled into the crook of the woods. The roads were barren of life, with the exception of a patrolling guard.

"Anyways.." Spoke the guard captain, "your place of staying with be the barracks. The barracks are currently uninhabited, so be free to make yourselves at home. It's right this way."

Later that evening, Eon and his men were spending their time drinking in an inn to honour their fallen warriors.

''To the honour of all men that died on the battlefield today. May they rest in piece and wait for us in the Hall of Glory.'' said Eon as he held his cup of wine high above his head.

Eon's man did the same whislt they cheered, and everyone started drinking. Eon walked off to sit somewhere alone to get lost in his thoughts, for he was upset about the loss of his men. He did not show any kind of emotion, however.
