Wolf RP- VM and Dark Huntress

Dan simply ignored her and again said, "Why don't you lead me to your pack hmm? I'll show them whose boss..." Dan however sighed for a moment before he looked at the little wolf pup and said, "Tala there's something I have to tell you...I uh saw your mother get shot..." Before he could say anything else though a wolf pack again approached but this time it was adults as the leader wolf said, "My name's Bandarick and you're in my territory. Now we must fight stranger."

Tala glared at Bandarick then leapt out of the den. "My mother and I were granted rites to the Outskirts, this is my new guardian, I demand you extend the courtesy to him!" Though she was only as long as his tail and as tall as his thigh she stared at his yellow eyes. Eventually she looked down, being reminded of why he was Alpha.

"Remember your place, Tala, under my feet!" His gaze softened,"You and your mother. This stranger is a threat to me and my pack. I gave you kindness instead of expelling you from all kindness, I let my son associate with you, do not disrespect my courtesy." He strode boldy forward, his tawny coat striped with pale scars. "Stranger, why are you here? It is death to trespass."

Dan looked at Bandarick and said, "You don't have to be so mean to her." He then looked at Tala and said in sarcasm, "Yeah you're right wolves are just so much more civilized than people." He then looked at Bandarick and smiled, "I came here because I wish to challenge you to a fight to see whose the alpha here. The winner becomes the leader of the pack, the loser is disgraced." He ignored Tala's pleas and said, "Well Bandarick I'm waiting for your answer. Are you a coward?"

He then said, to Bandarick, "If I win you'll let Tala become an alpha female in this pack and you will not be the leader and neither will your son." He then said, "If you win I'll leave and never come back, however it does not matter who wins, Tala will still be shown kindness by this pack." He then paused, "So do you have any good-looking females in this pack," he said in jest.

Bandarick snarled. "My line will be preserved, you won't be a match for an entire pack," he glanced down at Tala, her wide-eyed gaze automatically melting his heart as he saw her mother in it,"however, if I win-I will relinquish my claim on my position and my son, Ulf, will take it, with Tala as his mate, when she becomes of age of course." Tala's eye iras shot directly upwards. "What will become of you," she whispered to the aging wolf.

"I guess I'll beg the king for forgiveness," he smiled as he bent down to eye-level with her. He stood upwards and turned to Dan. "What contest? Of strength? Or capacity." Tala mouthed 'capacity' to Dan and nodded vigorously.

Dan was surprised by Bandarick's response and said for the first time a line of respect to the old wolf, "No matter who wins, I thank you for showing Tala kindness." This is great, he thought. The voice told me I could become human again once the wolf pup has a good life. Well she's going to get it no matter what. He then looked at Bandarick and ignored Tala and said, "Strength." He immediately stood aside and quickly said, "I would like to ask one thing out of you Bandarick."

He paused and said, "We will fight with tooth and claw but I don't wish this to be a fight to the death." There is no need to kill myself, since I will become human again. "If you win I promise I'll leave and go back where I came from and never return. I warn you though our paths will cross probably at one point," he referenced to hunting wolves again.

"Even if you best now," Bandarick's voice was low and hard,"I suggest avoiding this pack. We do not take kindly to strangers, especially insolent ones." He bared his white teeth in an intimidating display of savage sharpness. Tala gave Dan a look and shook her furry head. With that display of her disapproval she trotted over to sit by Ulf.

They whispered to eachother and both laughed quietly. Their displays of gladness seemed to cheer the Alpha wolf and he sat down on his haunches, still towering over Dan. "I'll be generous," he gave Dan a savage grin,"strike first."

Dan simply shrugged, "Ah get over it already old man. Let's face it, you're the past, you're through, you're old and grey. I'm the future. I'm the one who will win the day." Suddenly he tried to bite down on Bandarick's shoulder, however he started to whimper and whine as Bandarick immediately bit down on his paw.

"OW!" He screamed. He tried again to aim for Bandarick's neck but got another shock as Bandarick bit down on his shoulder. The pain was just too overwhelming for him.

"In youth there is folly?" Bandarick pushed Dan over with a large paw and held him in place. "Do you know how I became Alpha? I waited until I was old and large enough to challenge the pack leader. And then I humbly asked for his daughter's paw. I defeated everyone he set against me but only because I had to. Don't make the mistake of thinking that with age comes weakness." He released the adolescent wolf. "Do you give up? Or shall I give another beating?"

Tala's small grey brow furrowed as she watched the males scuffle. Dan just couldn't listen to her! If he'd done what she'd told him to, he might've won. Now all the elders would be fussing over him till his shoulder and paw healed. She shrugged. She won either way, she got what she wanted, as did Bandarick, who needed only a reason.

Dan suddenly told Bandarick, "Shut up!" He quickly looked around and said, "The forest is too quiet." Suddenly the human hunter jumped out of the forest and immediately glared at Dan, thinking he was the wolf that killed his son. "Damn you wolf! You killed my son! Prepare to die!" Dan just mumbled, "No Dad please don't kill me..." He then told all of the wolves, "RUN!"

"Get out of here you idiots! He'll kill you all! I've doomed all of us by leading the hunter here!" He quickly ran for it, as fast as he could with his wounded paw, doiung a skip in his movement almost, and as an after-thought scooped up Tala, worried the bullets might hit her, and ran for it, hiding in the bushes. His father cursed as he couldn't find Dan and left in another direction. When Dan emerged however Ulf had been shot and looked to be dead. Oh boy I'm going to die now, he thought.

Tala's breath got in her tiny chest as she scampered out of the bushes. "Ulf," she whispered quietly and pushed him with a tiny paw. "Ulf!" This time she sounded more desperate, more knowing. She hung her head, hiding the solitary year that slipped down her fluffy cheek.

"You!" She whirled to face Dan,"You're an idiot! You should've listened to me! This never would've happened! If you'd just shut your trap and know your place! With your arrogance you've undone everything good you did!"

Bandarick took the pain much more quietly, simply staring at his dead son. "We need to move," he said in a low tone, then put his son across his shoulders,"before more die." Aside to Tala he said quietly,"Perhaps the elders can do something for him."
