The three pairs of legs Kirby saw were three wolves from Luo's pack. Aleu was not there. One of the wolves said, "What are you doing outside of your stupid town you dog?" they seemed to not know he was Aleu's mate.

Kirby then said, "Well if you mean Balto he's the hero fo Nome, the town in front of you. His son works in the mail room and has gotten to be famous himself. That's all I know I'm afraid."
