Her companion hesitated, "No. I will not sit aside as he just kills you both..." he sighed, "I hate to say this but Kodi's a really nice guy... I don't understand why does he and his father deserve to die like this... I mean, sure, his father nearly got us killed, but he had a reason." he sighed and looked at her, "What can we do?"

Annabeth rubbed her head under his jaw. "Thank you for protecting me back there." She then licked him but looked away. "We have to find a way to stop this...but I don't see how my father would...he hates Balto too much." She shook her head, "At least Kodi must be spared."

Annabeth's companion nodded, "Can't say I disagree, but Kodi shares his hatred for Batlo."

Annabeth said, "I...I have to warn him. I have to tell him to hide."

Annabeth said, "We are going back so I can warn him."

Her companion looked at her, "Now? It's the middle of the day."

Annabeth sighed, "We'll wait until tonight. That is when I said I would see him." Later that night Annabeth quietly snuck out. Meanwhile Kirby and Ralph came back into the mail room. "Kodi you did not see us laying around outside for a few hours? These wolves got us. We'll kill them!"

Kodi suddenly remembered Annabeth. He needed a way to distract his friends though. "Say..." he started with a smirk, "Aren't you supposed to meet your new girlfriend?"

Kirby said, "Oh yeah you're right. Thank you." Kirby left to find his girlfriend but Ralph stayed behind. Annabeth finally reached Nome. She cautiously approached the town. Soon Kirby found his girlfriend, "Oh I apologize honey for being late but I uh was hit over the head by a wolf."
