Before long, Levi and the others arrived at the palace. Levi pushed open the throne room drawers and walked to Robotnik. He aimed his trident at the obese madman. "Release my son this instant!" he shouted.

"Dad?"Shadow asked as Robotnik took this chance to use a portable robotizizer on the young Prince.

Within moments Shadow had become a mindless Robian. "Behold Mecha-Shadow." Robotnik said as his creation teleported in front of his master. "Mecha-Shadow, kill King Levi!" Robotnik said as Shadow looked at Levi before charging him. The young Hedgehog held his father in a choke hold, causing him to drop his Trident. "Resistance is futile." Mecha-Shadow said.

Sonic used the opportunity to pick up the trident and used its handle to tap his brother on the side as a distraction. Levi then used the opportunity to break free and retrieve his weapon. Sonic then took a power ring from his pack and attempted to restore Shadow's free will.

Mecha-Shadow shot Sonic with a chaos spear, made more powerful with Robotization. "Die hedgehog." Mecha-Shadow said as the chaos spear destroyed the ring, creating blow back that devastated the room. Robotnik had taken his leave with Mecha-Shadow as the SWATBOTS made a pursuit impossible.

Levi raised his trident. The head began to glow and a burst of golden energy burst forth, destroying the SWATbots one by one. That done, he rushed to check on Sonic.

Unfortunately it was no longer viable to keep fighting as Knuckles soon realized. " Father, we must retreat." Knuckles said as he took a blast to the back, knocking him out. "Knuckles!" Julie Su cried as Vector hoisted the Echidna up. "He's right, we can't fight them now, we have to retreat." He said as Mighty Picked up Sonic.

Levi nodded. "Come everyone, we must return home now," he said. He then began to lead the way out of the palace.

And so They were forced to flee. Barely making it to their transport and escaping. The flight back home was a silent one. Robotnik had Shadow, who was now a Robian.

Levi looked at Hope. "Listen, Hope. I'm sorry you had to lose your brother so soon after gaining him," he said.

Hope teared up as she hugged her father. "we'll get him back Daddy." She said as they were in view of the floating island as they saw several explosions.

Mecha-shadow had been unleashed upon his own homeland.
