Luo growled, "No daughter of mine will even see a filthy dog!" he would obviously become very mad if it turned out to be true, "It doesn't matter, since he will die anyways." he then came up with his own idea, but he decided to keep it to himself. Kodi smiled and slowly nodded. He hoped that Annabeth would never find out who his father was, even if he did have all the reasons to keep it a secret. "Maybe I'll... we could meet again tonight, somewhere out of the village. It's dangerous for you to be here..." he felt really worried about her being there.

Annabeth just nodded, "I'll be back later tonight okay?" She licked him on the cheek and snuck back over to her companion. "He was even cuter than I remembered." Steele said, "Might I suggest the slow, painful approach?"

Kodi felt a goofy smile climb onto his face as Annabeth licked him on the cheek He let out a sigh and then lay down on his side. Annabeth's companion looked at her and sighed, "So now what? Are we to try gather some information on that wolf dog before leaving?" Luo looked at Steele, "Explain yourself."

Steele said, "If she does care about him than let's makes his torture very long and painful to make her suffer." Annabeth forgot about that, "Huh? Oh yeah. I'll think of something. Let's go."

Luo was silent for a moment. "I'll think about it." Annabeth's companion just followed her silently, not speaking out the fact that she didn't seem to be focused at all.

On the way back Annabeth couldn't stop thinking about Kodi. She imagined herself years down with his...ah no time to dwell on it now. She entered the cave and Steele whispered, "Ask her."

Luo whispered back to Steele, "I will when I want to." he said to Annabeth, "This dog says he can give you information about the mutt we're looking for." he looked at both her and her companion, "Both of you, listen to what he has to say."

Steele then opened his big mouth, "So what were you doing with that Kodi? You obviously didn't kill him as there is no blood on your paws." Annabeth gulped. If her father suspected anything she would be dead right now. "I uh...I was uh spying..." Steele laughed, "Spying to steal a kiss I bet?"

Annabeth's father left before Steele began talking. He called his 'future son-in-law' over, "If he speaks nonsense, tell him that the female dog gets it." The wolf nodded and headed back towards Steele and Annabeth, "So, what do you have to tell us?"

Steele said, "I want to tell you that you are nothing but fools and will be exposed as such." He laughed and said, "Her father will kill you both for lying. And that Kodi, Balto's son, will die as well." Annabeth yelled in her head, 'No!' As Steele saw the expression on her face he laughed, "Yes his son, the son that works in the mail room. The son that is 1/4 wolf."
