'Thank you Tali..' Thought Xandra to herself, sitting far away from the Aenar and her two other companions. Breathing a sigh of relief.

Tali quirked her lip and looked distastefully at Xaron, glaring, "And that is..?"

''Fine, I shall see what little empty spot I have left that you can fill up. But eventually when you have outlived your usefulness, you will be cast aside.''

Ghost respectfully bowed her head, "Thank you, dark one. I promise you will not come to regret it..."

'Or think you can just cast me aside like a n'wah.. I will cross you before that happens.'

''Well, it's simple, really. The Supreme Being has strictly forbidden me to intervene with the lives of mortals and lesser beings. If it's the Supreme Being's wish that Eon stays alive, then one way or another he will survive without my help.'' said Xaron.

''You have no intention of staying loyal to me, o cat-creature. No secrets will remain hidden from me. But know that if you double-cross my bidding, you will perish like the rest of this world.'' spoke N'gath, as he disappeared into nothingness, leaving Vuldred and Ghost alone.

''I am going to prepare my undead legions to wage war against Daryon. You, cat-thing, should make yourself useful to me and my master by getting rid of this pesky head-knight once and for all.'' said Vuldred.

Tali audibly scoffed and crossed her arms, "That is the biggest crock of bull I have ever heard in my life. If your 'Supreme Being' were smart at all, he or she would obviously want Eon alive in order to save Aveloth from this Nameless One and his legion of undead Shadow Knights. Why not just do us all favor and instantly heal him so we can get on our way instead of giving them more time to prepare and kill? Or does this 'Supreme Being' not care about the mass slaughter of lesser beings just because we're not as powerful or fancy as you? And what of us? What good is it having us sit in this cave for two days waiting expectantly on Balius?" Finishing her rant, Tali took in a deep breath and shook her head.

"Seems more problematic to me."

Ghost hissed back at Vuldred, "This one has a name. It is called Ghost. If this one is to do your bidding then call me by my name, you churl. And I will go take care of the pesky head-knight and his imbecilic party. If only to seem more useful than yourself in hopes that this Nameless one will favor this one more and send you off to the block."

"You may hack and slash mortals with that pretty little sword of yours, thinking you're important. But if I fail and Eon survives, it will be the fall of your mighty dark empire." With that, Ghost took her leave and disappeared, giving Vuldred no time to react.

''There are things that are beyond your understanding, which makes sense since I am thousands of years old. But all I can tell you is that the Supreme Being Emor is in full control everything, even if it doesn't seem so. And he will not let this world fall into darkness.'' said Xaron. ''And as I said, I have my own rules to obey.''

Vuldred glanced at Ghost as she disappeared.

''We will see. If you fail, I will finish it myself and rid this world of your useless existence.'' Vuldred said to himself, as he turned around and left to gather his undead legions.

Tali interjected, "Well to my understanding, as a lesser being and all, that it still makes no sense and I call bull. The eight divines from my world, as harsh and cruel as some of them can be, would provide mercy for Eon and cure him of his ailments. Honestly, I think you're just doing this for entertainment value. Hell, even Xandra isn't sick enough to watch him writhe in pain yet you, with all these high and mighty powers, just stands around being useless."

''Aww come on, surely you don't mean those cruel evil mean wretched words to your favorite sarcastic Aénar.'' said Xaron with a sad frown. ''Can't I just have an adorable huggle from you again?''

And in the meantime, Eon was laying there suffering, forced to listen to Tali and Xaron's arguing that offered little to no relief against the pain, which was getting worse to a point of it being unbearable.

"Oh please, your charm won't work this time. But I know just who you can hug."

Tali left and came back moments later with a struggling black wolf in her arms. Desperately did Xandra try kicking free with no luck as she was forced into Xaron's arms, practically snuggling the Aenar, "Take the wolfy, it loves you."

Soon after Tali went over to Eon who look sorely put out by the arguing and sporadic bursts of affection. "Feel left out?" She questioned, giving him a cuddly hug.

"Hey Xaron, why not bring Xandra over here with you and we can all have a group hug?"

''Aw, goochy-goochy goo.'' said Xaron as he snuggled with Xandra.

''Forget about a stupid group hug, you alone are just fine, more or less.'' muttered Eon, secretly enjoying the additional warmth.

After a bit Xaron placed Xandra down.

''Damn, there's loose hair all over my robes.'' he said.

''Aw, goochy-goochy goo.''

Xandra just flopped in Xaron's arms and accepted her fate, hanging there. 'I'll get you back Tali.. just you wait.'

''Forget about a stupid group hug, you alone are just fine, more or less.''

"What is this? No complaining or pushing away, if I were to guess right, I'd say you like hugs or are just using me for warmth." Tali laughed, continuing to hug Eon.

Meanwhile Xandra plopped on the ground and gazed up at Xaron with an 'I hate you so much right now' look.

''Oh I almost forgot, doggy-girl. Dear uncle Xaron has a little present which he bought from your own world.'' said Xaron, as he took out a squeaky chew toy for dogs and stuffed it into Xandra's mouth.

''Well, you are HOT.'' said Eon, letting Tali do to him as she wished.

Meanwhile as Balius made his way out of Faringheim into Alanor, he ran into Ghost and stopped for a second, because he has never seen a cat-girl before in his own world.
