I tried to clear away the thought. I was probably just imagining everything, and I was probably still a little worked up from Melody's dream that it made me imagine her saying something when she really didn't. I continued to swim after her and asked, "I thought we were racing? I don't think this is how racing works."

Laughing, I let go of his arm and said, "You sure you're up for that? I beat you last time."

"Oh, right," I said. "I forgot about that. All right, let's not do it. But let go of my arm before we reach Atlantica. I don't want to look like a merbaby in front of mt friends."

I smiled at him, then said, "Okay, come on. Let's go see Sebastian."

"Pull the way," I said with a laugh.

Rolling my eyes, I grabbed his hand and pulled him toward Atlantica. When we got to a few feet from the kingdom, I let go of his hand and said, "Derek, do you think that Sebastian will let us into the concert?"

"Why wouldn't he?" I asked, resisting the urge to rub my wrist. She had a strong grip.
