Hammy walked over to his grandmother. "I will protect you as well, Grandma. Steele needs to learn that you don't take another dog's mate," he stated.

Jempa stepped forward. "You have my undying support, Balto," he said. "And ours too," Kaltag said, his paw clamped over Star's mouth.

Balto couldn't help but chuckle as his saw Kaltag's paw over Star's mouth. "Thank you."

Kaltag kept his paw in place. "You're welcome, Balto," he said before finally taking his paw off of Star's mouth. Star said nothing.

Balto said nothing else. He couldn't help but wonder what crazy plan Steele came up with that time.

Hammy sighed. "Well, no reason to worry. We should get on with our lives for now," he said. Jempa looked at Melony. "I liked the way you dealt with Steele," he said.

Melony giggled, "I also liked it." like she would ever listen to someone like Steele.
