Kodi smiled as he recognised her voice. However he got pretty nervous when she came out of her hiding spot, "What if someone comes in?"

Annabeth said, "I don't care. I...I came to see you. I lied to my father so I could see you." She shook her head and said, "Are you feeling okay? Is your friend?"

Kodi slowly nodded, looking down at his leg, "I'm fine. It doesn't really hurt too badly anymore..." he shook his head at the metnion of Dusty, "She's also okay, but she'll only be released tomorrow."

The wolf nodded, "Now you'll have to make the dufficult...or easy choice..." Meanwhile Steele came up to the wolf cave, "Is anyone home?"

Kodi looked confused, "What do you mean?" An annoyed sigh came from Annabeth's father, "Yeah yeah." what an annoying voice did that dog have.

Steele came in, "Does your daughter have an interest in the wolf-dog's son?" Meanwhile Annabeth said, "You'll have to pick either me or her."

The father laughed, "What makes you say that?" Kodi then fell silent. He knew that deep inside he had already made his choice, but he didn't know how to tell Dusty about it.

The wolf was confused by his silence. "Well I'll let you think about it. If I were you I would pick your friend. It would be easier for you. Trust me Kodi." Steele said, "She wanted to see him and it didn't seem like she was going to kill him..."

Kodi slowly nodded and said nothing else. Annabeth's father knew that if the dog turned out to be telling the truth then he would get really mad. "Yesterday she told me that she was in love with a wolf in this pack. They're betrothed."
