"Jason would handle it better," Pheonix said, then Jason led Penelope to the rundown bathroom.

"Holy shiz," he grinned, picking her up and depositing her on the counter then turning the faucet on, "there's running water!"

Angel watched the two then shrugged and collapsed back onto the bed, curling around a pillow. Pheonix watched her, amused. A moment later, Angel peeked with one eye. "Whatcha looking at?"

"Just watching you molest that pillow."

"Yeah," she snuggle her face into it, "all creeper like. If bed bugs eat me alive, save me and kill Jason. Even if you don't save me, make sure he dies." Pheonix grinned darkly.

"No problem."

Penelope smiled slyly and looked at her leg,no injury,

"Whattha?"Pheonix began...

Penelope began kicking frantically and jumping.

"Hold it there..."Jason laughed looking at her running legs.

"Best!Now,Where the f*** are you shirtless boy?"Penelope asked playfully as she jumped upon Phenox and tossed over to the bed.

Pheonix grabbed her legs then back flopped on the other, unoccupied bed. "Take that, Penny!" He laughed, a loud sound. Angel rolled her eyes.

"Mmf. Shaddup." She slammed the pillow back over her face.

Jason rolled his eyes. "Seriously though, Pheonix, be gentle with her."

"Nah,its ok.As soon as we are out,he is gonna get it,"Penelope grinned.

"Uhuh,we'll see about that,"Phenoix grinned back.

Angel blinked up at the two. "Is there any way he could get it...NOW!" She laughed, leaping up and slamming her pillow into Pheonix, who answered by grabbing her around the waist an hoisting her onto his shoulder.

"You are tiny," he laughed, "I could keep you up here for forever."

"No!" She giggled and slapped his back. "Let me down." With a little grunt, he tossed her onto the bed. She curled up in a protective ball, laughing her face off.

"If you two...dunderheads are done playing,we have some old man ass to kick.I am gonna show him...the power of Ares,"Penelope said through squinted eyes.

Pheonix rolled his eyes and sat up cuddling a pillow.Angel stood up and shrugged,then made a huge sigh.

"Well,due to our plan numerous things could go wronge,but even with the help of the gods,we might note even have a good chance of putting up a good battle due to our weak forces.The strength ....of a titan i believe,"Angel went on before she realised half of everyone were half-sleeping.

Pheonix groaned and fluttered his eyes.Penelope laughed and pulled him up by his spiky hair,leaving jason to laugh..until he got his hair pulled.

"It's ok angel...I got this under control.I know there is something suspicious about that mountain.It is too dangerous if we don't gather information.Then we can call on the gods again...and maybe they can offer us some help.But to do that...I am going to need some help...if winged-boy here can do it.We are all set.He needs to go alone since a pack of weird teenagers could disturb our cover,"Penelope stated.

Jason hesitated and shook his head wildy and pointed to Pheonix.Penelope did a little flirt and his mind was straight again.

"Damn,i hate when you do that...but how am i supposed to get up there!"Jason asked.

"UGH!I called you winged-boy for a reason,oh son of Hermes,"Penelope said sarcastically.

Phenoix did a little laugh before getting a kick by Jason.

"Yeah, but I don't have wings or wing-shoes and I can't just walk into Payless." Jason glared at Penelope then Pheonix. Angela shrugged, then rubbed her ribs where Pheonix had grabbed her.

"It's not like I can magically fly!" Jason seemed rather upset about that, to Angel's confusion.

"So?" She asked slowly.

Phoenix turned, before Jason did something mean. "The gods grant their weapon or tool of choice to their favorite child," he explained in a whisper. "Hermes has chosen to give his to another child."

"Oh." Angel could easily see Jason's disappointment now. She tossed her hair, "Maybe..." Her brain was working so well as normal and she sat there for a moment, brow furrowed.

"The gods can transport, right?" Pheonix shrugged and Jason nodded. "Well," she bit her bottom lip, "If we could only do something to get there attention and make them summon one of us, or send us, or whatever. Oh, and Pheonix should probably talk to the gods, he's only one that isn't clueless or emotionally compromised by his parent. If you were wondering, I'm the clueless one." Pheonix snickered as Jason gained a pouty expression.

"Thanks a lot, you make me sound like a fourteen year-old girl," he glanced at Penelope, "no offense."

"You are a fourteen year old girl," Angel sighed.

Pheonix looked as if he were going to cry if he had to smother his laughter and Jason glared at Angela and Pheonix. When Angel shot him a defiant look back he softened.

"I'm sixteen!" He laughed.

Penelope walked over to Angel with her hair blowing wildly,"Angel,if you were talking about me,you sreally shouldn't have said that.Do you really know about me?It has only been a few days and you act like you are like my therapist!You know what?There is absolutely nothing between me and my dad,See this ring?It was the only thing I had before I was stuck with my obnoxious family?Do you know why I hate my dad?Because i Love him!I get along with Ares better than no other child,if you rreallllllyyy ask me.I am probably the one child he truly cvares about rather than thinking of the rest of his children like pawns for his duty,"Penelope finished breathing heavily with Angel looking stunned and Phenoix looking a bit hurt.

"Damn it,i didn't ask for all this.Listen Jason,no offense...but I know you aren't Hermes' favorite child..."Penelope said glaring a hurt look at Jason."Luke is,..but what you are forgetting is,Luke is dead,he went to the bad side,but then he sacrificed himself,and now he is gone,gone gone gone,"Penelope said as she gashed through the painful memories.

Everyone gulped and nervously looked from one another.

"Listen Angel,that's a good plan,but be practical,we don't have time and again...it won't work,"Penelope criticially said as her fun expression turned dark and stared at a sad looking Angel.

"Jason just come over here,"Penelope asked as Jason slowly trudged towards her.

Angel sighed and rolled her eyes,"She won't hurt you..."

Jason snickered and gulped,"Listen Penelope,I know that your trying to keep everything together,but I just can't do it,I am just a son of Hermes,also known as a nobody.I know this is the least I can do,but just understand."

Phoenix turend his hatred expression into something softer and laid a hand on him,which got turned away.

"Jason,it doesn't matter.You don't have to be a six pack muscular show off,"Penelope said apologozing to Phoenix with her eyes,"Or a brainy know-it-all or me..."Penelope added softly."There is really something special about you,and if you ask me,you already got something from Hermes which no other child has ever gotten."

Jason raised his eyebrows and attempted a smile.

"You got his love and his care.Most goda don't ever care about their children,but Hermes is with you every step of the way.Even when you came to Camp-Half-Blood,you got there by yourself,with Hermes guiding you all the way.If you can defeat Kerebros with us,Because you know you can.In someway,you do have his wings...because he is with you all the way,and if you asl for him,he will come.Now stop acting like a baby and get up there...winged-boy,"Penelope with a grin.

"And everyone,I'm so sorry if this got deep,because our parents...are something real to us.Even if we think they are real jerks,"Penelope said with a laugh.

Angel stood the same with a sorry expression,and Phenix stood there with a deep hurt inside of him.He began walking towards Penelope as the rest began collecting their gear,"Penelope...do you really think dad thinks of me...as his little paw."

Penelope stood there laughing with little tears,it was the first time he called her by her name.Then her expression vanished as she collected her gear and left,not knowing what to say.

Angel tossed her hair. "I'm not saying you hate him or anything bad and I definitely dot want to be your therapist, maybe I just want to be your friend and you're making that impossible. I just...actually, all three of us are emotionally because there's a part of us that just wants to feel special and being part his isn't helping that because it just means the parent stuck with us finds us impossible to deal with," she gave Penelope a bit of a dark glance, "No. You aren't a pawn, Phe, and you know what, Jason, you've have something none of us do, an ability. People like you." Pheonix laughed a little and her yellow ring branched into her irises in a warning that made even fiery Pheonix swallow. "And who cares about him, I like you." She stepped forward and hugged him. He grasped her slender body thankfully.

"Thanks," he said to all of them, then wiped away the two or three tears on his tan cheeks. "Yeah, so not quoting being a baby." He laughed a little. "Time to put on big boy boxers," he elbowed Pheonix who ruffled his hair.

Jason nodded then squeezed Angel's hand before starting up the mountain.
