"That's sweet," Edward said, while Charlie made a gagging sound. "Charlie, stop it! You're a grown man now, not a little boy." Charlie just rolled his eyws.

"It's fine, Twyla and Leon used to react the same way, and I think they still do." Anna said, smiling at her kids.

"That's because they're still young," Edward pointed out. "They have every right to act that way."

"Yeah, but even adults are still kids at heart, especially me!" Anna said, laughing.

[Queen Elsa]

Elsa laughed along, and so did Edward. "Yeah. Some people just never grow up," he said.

"I'm done," Carlie said, pushing his bowl away and scooting out. "Call me when it's dessert time." He walked out of the dining room, and Adan heard the faint creak of the stairs - something that only people who had lived there for a long time would be able to detect.

When Charlie walked out of the room, Anna looked at Edward and asked, "Did I do something wrong?"

Edward shook his head. "No, Princess, you didn't. He just gets that way sometimes, especially when we talk about girls. A few years before Adan left, he had a girlfriend. What was her name? Sarah? Sapphire?"

"Sabrina," Adan answered.

"Ah, yes. Sabrina," Edward said. "Anyways, he loved Sabrina. He'd do everything with her. But then one day Sabrina told Charlie that she was moving away. Charlie asked what would happen between them, and she said that she just wants to end their relationship. I think she also mentioned something about not really loving him or something. Ever since then, he's acted disgusted around converdations about girls, but I think it's because he's hiding his true feelings, because he's still hurt by what happened with Sabrina."

Anna nodded slowly, understanding. "Okay, I get it now. It must be pretty hard for him."

[Queen Elsa]

"Yeah, it is," Edward agreed. "And I think I made it worse by ridiculing them for not being married yet. I didn't intend to direct it at him necessarily. It just came out that way. But I do think he needs to move on from Sabrina. If she comes back saying she wants him then that's fine, but it's been thirteen years already, so I don't think that's going to happen."

"I'm sure that Uncle Charlie will find a beautiful girl and everything! Who will care for him and be there for him." Twyla said, a small smile on her face.
