Karus' daughter said nothing and just silently looked towards the forest. Eventually she sat down. The buck put his head down. "Curse you Karus."

Geno said to Lana, "Could you stay with your familly for a while? I'll be back later."

Lana however said to Geno, with her head downcast looking hopeless, "Why does Karus hate you so much?" Meanwhile the deer in question, Karus appeared near Ronno and Leah along with Bambi and Faline. "Why if it isn't our wise elderly pairs." He then said, "I just gave misery to your sons today..."

Geno sighed, "I wish I knew." Leah looked up at Karus, "You never stop. Why?"

Karus laughed, "Of course not. When I see the misery on your face it makes me happy. And to see it on your sons' faces makes it ten times more gratifying. Those two bucks if you can call them that don't deserve happiness just as Bambi's daughter deserved death." He laughed again. Lana only nodded.

Leah simply asked, "What have they ever done to you?"

Karus said, "Well your son killed me of course." He then looked at Bambi, "You might not want to fight me. That old heart of yours might give out while you fight." He laughed.

Bambi said nothing. Leah said, "Let's go to before he killed you. You tried to kill him and others, didn't you?"

Karus said nothing except, "No deer in this forest deserves any happiness. Why do you need a motive for my crimes? Can't you see I do it for my amusement? You are all schemers but I plan nothing out. That is why you are fearful of me because with me not everything goes according to your plan of an idyllic life."
