Annabeth's father looked at her and nodded, "Yes. Take your mate with you." he then remembered Steele, "And if you see that useless dog we sent yesterday, send him back here. If he doesn't listen remind him of the wolf-dog's mate and he will." he laughed.

Annabeth just nodded. She went over to her companion, "My father has said that we should go back to the town." She sighed and started heading that way. She then said, "My father mentioned threatening this dog named Steele. Why does he have to hate everyone?"

Annabeth's companion forced himself to ignore his anger, "Probably because he's a dog." they both started heading towards the village.

Once they headed towards town they heard a lot of ruckus coming from the yelling of this husky. "I am Steele and I order you to send the wolf-dog to me or I will raze this town to the ground with wolves!"

The companion laughed at the predicament. "Oh, he thinks that we're his soldiers? I see why you're father hates him so much." noticing that the street was empty he called the husky over, "Hey you! Get your big mouth over here."

Steele then saw the wolves and smiled, "Ah come to join me my friends. Do you see these dogs? I will allow you to kill and eat them! You have free reign go ahead and kill them." Annabeth just sighed and said, "I'll pass." However she said, "Have you seen Kodi around here? I need to see him?" Steele got curious, "What for?"

Annabeth's companion shot her a look saying that she should not give anyone any suspiciouns about her and Kodi. "The leader wants you back. Now."

Steele said, "She hasn't answered my question yet wolf. I see you are not the boss here. Wait are you the leader's daughter I am supposed to find?"

The wolf growled, "She will not answer the question if she doesn't want to." he then said, "The boss did say something about the wolf-dog's mate... If he wants to see you then that means you go to see him and speak to his daughter later."

Steele said, "I think your boss needs to find better lackeys." Annabeth went ahead and said, "Yes I am his daughter." Steele laughed. "And let me guess the boorish, no-brain wolf next to you is your mate right?" He laughed but Annabeth ignored him, "Kodi?" Steele said, "He usually works at a mailroom about this time."
