Kodi nodded, "You're probably right..." Aleu smiled, "Of course I'm right." just then the vet came down the stairs. He looked at the two dogs and looked a little surprised by the way they were just sitting there and staring at him. "Probably one of the lazy old citizens left them here and didn't have the patience to wait... Such rude people these days." He came over and looked down at the two, "And how did our genius think I was going to know what was wrong with his dogs if he's not here to tell me what's wrong?" Aleu looked at Kirby, "Make him... inspect you or what not..."

Annabeth nodded her head, "As to your original question you know I still love you." Kirby looked at the vet and started making whining sounds when he walked on his legs trying to tell him something.

Kodi again smiled, feeling somehow cheered up at that, "I love you too." The vet just stared down at Kirby before suddenly noticing something wierd about his leg. "What is this?" he looked closely for a moment before suddenly picking Kirby up and walking into one of the rooms. Aleu quickly followed.

Annabeth just nodded. "We better all get together." Steele laughed and said, "The two lovebirds went off to the vet." Kirby just waited until the vet plopped him on the table. "Ow! Not so hard!"

Kodi just ignored Steele's usual annoying element and looked at Annabeth, "I'll go have a quick look and then I'll come back." he knew Annabeth couldn't go into town. The vet ignored Kirby's whining and once again examined his leg, "Hmm... Something here is not in place..." he was quiet for a moment before speaking again, "Looks like I'm gonna have to operate to fix this." Aleu gulped.

Kirby looked at Aleu's face. "This is bad right?" While Kodi was gone Steele looked at Annabeth, "Our offer still stands correct?" She nodded her head.

Aleu slowly nodded. The vet took a syringe, "Don't worry. When you wake up you'll feel alot better." Kodi came back after a while, "Well, from what I understood Kirby's about to go through an operation to get his leg fixed."

Annabeth nodded and said, "They can wait there." Annabeth said to Steele and Kodi, "You better go. I'll wait here for now." Steele laughed and said, "Hopefully the Kirby fool is getting a death serum for he is of no help whatsoever!" Kirby just started to yawn and his eyes drooped. Soon he was out of it.

Kodi again ignored Steele and looked at Annabeth, "You should probably go back to our boat, just in case Luo sends anyone after you." Aleu soon found the vet leading her out of the room and then closing the door. She just sat there and hoped he would feel better afterwards.

Annabeth nodded and said, "I'll see you tomorrow Kodi." She went back and came to the boat where her friend and his mate was. "Anyone home?" Steele soon started talking in the street, "Ah my fellow dogs don't you see I am on the side of good now!"
