(OOC: Could you add Jake to the Character List :D and I've decided not to put him and Tamra together...for sure (basically: he's fair game) :D .)
Jake stopped by the door-it'd been so long since he'd been in a house. He sighed and slid his backpack off of his shoulder. "I have some deer meat-I shot it yesterday." He reached into the front pocket of his backpack and produced strips of meat thoroughly covered in white paper.
He walked further into the center of the room and handed it to the short blonde girl, which he noticed, had pretty, sky-blue eyes.
He looked around. "You say you have almost all of the windows boarded up? Did you use screws or nails? If you used nails then..." He made a vague gesture towards the other guy standing in the room. "Him and I should probably take them out and use screws-screws are harder for Them to push in."
Jake shrugged as the girl and he guy have him odd looks. "What? I worked construction for a couple of year." He beckoned towards the door. "And I guess I'll just sleep outside-the tree right outside looks pretty comfortable. And I'll be close enough to help if something happens-and I can kill Them from outside."
He edged back towards the door.

(Hehe, and closer to Alice's age =P Though Alice seems to hate everyone at the moment... yay! XD)

Matt nodded in agreement as Aimee spoke. He watched Jake closely as he wasn't sure if this man could be trusted yet. He was a little older than Matt, so he was a little weary, yet kept that thought to himself. When he mentioned taking out the nails and re-doing the windows he sighed slightly.

"That'll attract more of the walkers though" He said, looking over his shoulder.

As Jake went to walk away however, he found himself calling after him.

"Hold up, you shouldn't go out there alone. We should all stick together. Aimee, do you have a way of covering up that last window? We best not use a hammer and board it up. That'll attract them.

***

Alice nodded, keeping her hand hung loosely over her katana's handle. She looked over at Ryan and raised an eyebrow.

"He'll follow if he wants too" She said, walking off over the road.

(Will add him now ^^)

Aimee gave the guy a grateful look when he handed her the deer meat. She opened up the paper and smiled, it was cut well. She put it down with the rest of her supplies, neatly wrapped up again, and listened to the conversation unfolding. What they were saying made perfect sense. She thought to herself for a moment before putting her word in.

"For a start, my father used screws. And about the window upstairs, we have some pretty thick curtains...". She walked into the room next to the living room, which had been cleared of all furniture expect a large chest. Opening it, she pulled out thick dark red curtains. She coughed a little, "Dusty old things, but they'll keep out the light". She dragged them out of the room and hung them over the staircase banister.

She watched Jake go to leave and she raised an eye brow, looking from him to Matt,
"If he wants to go out, let him. He seems to know what he's doing. If you prefer trees to beds, who am I to argue?". She didn't want to admit it, but having two guys in the house made her feel a little uncomfortable. As handsome as the older guy was, he could easily over power her and take the supplies. Matt on the other hand...well, she didn't think he'd do that. Even though she had only met him.

"What's your name then?", she asked the taller, older man, for she realized she didn't ask. Aimee knew that name's didn't mean an awful lot in this new world, but knowing them was a beginning of trust for Aimee. The fact Matt told her his name straight away told her he could be trusted.

"Oh, yeah, sorry." Jake grinned good-naturedly. "It's Jakob, or just Jake usually."
Jake looked at the girl and tried to ignore the fact that the walls were boxing him in. "Do you need me to do something? Anything." He hated staying with someone and not helping out. He gave her a little bit of a desperate look.
He frowned as he started to look around. It had been so long-and the walls made him feel as if he couldn't get out when he wanted to-or needed to for that matter. He shook his thoughts off when he noticed the girl looking at him.
"Can I have a name? Or do you not tell people-for safety reasons. I don't usually, I know too much about people."

Matt nodded in agreement, yet he was still unsure as to why this man wanted to live outside and it un-nerved him knowing he was going to be outside. What if the Walkers saw him and then he gave away their location? What if he got bitten? Matt did not want to deal with that, but he would if he had to.

"Im Matt" He said when Jake was asking names. He didn't mention what Aimee's name was. He wasn't sure if she wanted him to know just yet.

"I'll go and put my rations with the rest of them" Matt said, picking up his bag and heading for the kitchen.

Aimee's lips curled upwards as she gave a smile of approval. Names was a beginning of a trusting friendship.
"And I'm Aimee, nice to meet you". She began to have a think, Jake seemed desperate to help in whatever way he could. "Well um...I might go on a raid soon. To the market about a mile away. They're bound to have lots of supplies that no one took in the evacuation". She paused when Matt said he was going to the kitchen.

"Woah, wait", she called out, "Use the cupboard to your left". She said, gesturing towards a large cupboard in the hallway to the kitchen. "Leave the kitchen be, I've still got to move supplies from the living room to that cupboard". She looked to her watch.

One person she had seen in the forest (but refused to come back to the house) scolded her for still continuing the days and the time. Aimee didn't want to disturb her body clock, and she needed to remember when family birthdays were. Not that they mattered. It was 4pm, she'd cook dinner soon.

Jake smiled. The girl had a cute smile. He started to the door. "If you don't mind-I think I'll go outside and scout the place out. Though you should probably think about setting out for a different city farther away." He sighed and ducked out the door.
The leaves crunching beneath his sneakers made his already high-strung nerves even worse. His head was on a constant swivel observing his surroundings. There was mostly just bare or halfbare trees, occasionally a stump-but for the most part-nothing.
Jake turned back towards the house after almost an hour-there hadn't been anything out of place and he'd shot another deer.
***********
Tamra paused as the girl and she came within sight of her home city-it was terribly disfigured. The normally clean streets were covered in garbage and repulsive, rotting corpses. Weeds were already starting to overtake some of the older buildings. But the eeriest thing was the lack of people, animals, anything-the walkers weren't even roaming the streets.
She swallowed hard. "C'mon-my building's over here." She led the girl over to a large brick building and drew her Glock before trotting up the concrete stairs.
They encountered only one zombie on the stairs-and the incident showed Tamra how good the girl was with her katana. But aside from that one zombie they saw nothing. It was eerie. Tamra almost wishe there was zombies.
Tamra pounded through the door of apartment 47 and was instantly leapt upon by a verge large dog. "Jaeger!" (Which is pronounced YAY-grr [its German for "hunter"])
Jaeger was a large dog, his head reaching Tamras chest when he was sitting. He had the overall appearance of an Irish Wolfhound, though his ears were rather erect, he had somewhat of a mane, and he had a bushy, wolf like tail. His most striking features were his eyes. One was yellow and the other icy blue.
When the large, ecstatic dog finished bathing his mistress in his slober, he advance on the girl and sniffed her cautiously. He eventually licked her hand.
"He likes you." Tamra smiled. "Now close the door before we attract any of the undead."
She strode into the remains of her family's living room. "You can take a shower in either my parents'-" she gestured to a door. "-or my room." She turned. "You can look through their belongings-if you find anything potentially useful-you can have it. Except 9mm ammo-I need that for my Glock." Tamra slipped into the kitchen, and was rewarded by the sight of unspoiled food. "If you don't mind-I think we should spend the night here-it's already armored and everything."
She took a bag of dog food out of a cupboard. "Jaeger! Dawn!" She dumped it on the floor. She turned to the girl. "Make yourself at home."

As the large dog walked over to Alice, Dusk let a low growl escape and he snarled silently. However, when he licked Alice's hand, the pup relaxed and sniffed the other dog curiously. Soon after meeting the new dog, Alice followed Tamra into her old home and sighed sadly when she saw the state of the village and the house. She wasn't sure if she felt safer in this house, or outside.. But as they had only come across the one walker on their travels, she decided to relax. She felt a little awkward about going through Tamra's parents things, so avoided their chester draws and belongings and headed straight for the shower. Dusk however followed Tamra as he could smell food and his belly growled hungrily.

Matt nodded as Aimee told him to steer clear of the kitchen and put the supplies he had with the rest of the supplies. He did so, leaving Jake and Aimee temprarily alone in the room. He slid his backpack off and began to place his food, extra weapons and medical supplies with the rest. Being a survivalist, he had managed to gather a large amount of things when he had been out in the small villages. Once he was sure he had given all he could, he stood up and walked back into the room.

"We best not stay here long. Those supplies won't last us forever" He announced.

Tamra slipped into her bedroom-or, at least, what had been her bedroom. The windows were barred. Everything was on its side, forming a sort of cover. She sighed and began rummage through her belongings.
About a half hour later she emerged-she'd found nothing of immediate use except a black backpack. She sighed and went back to the living room.
She peeked into the kitchen and was rewarded by the sight of Jaeger and Dawn sharing the food on the floor politely. She smiled a little-no matter how bad things got, dogs always seemed optimistic and innocent.
Tamra slipped past them to fill a bowl of water with tap water and set it on the floor for them. She then inspected the fridge and the cupboard. She helped herself to some cold cereal and traipsed back to the living room. She pulled a blanket around her and sat down on a couch to wait for the girl to get out of the shower.
************
Jake tied the deer to a tree, head down, and slit its throat to bleed it. He hoped the smell of deer blood wouldn't attract any walkers. He waited for almost an hour before skinning the deer and neatly slicing and wrapping the meat in more white paper.
He then started for the house. The fifteen minute walk afforded no excitement, fortunately, as excitement, now, was a zombie or two.
He knocked on the door. "It's Jake. I got some more food." He called to Aimee.

Alice got out the shower and grabbed a nearby towel and wrapped it around herself. As she walked past the mirror however she caught sight of something she hadn't seen before, or had any memory of it getting there. A scar. Across the top of her shoulder down to her collar bone. She traced the scar with her fingers and looked at it for a moment. Why did she have no rememberance of it getting there? What was it? She continued to state at herself for a moment, before realizing that Tamra was probably wondering where she was.

Alice grabbed her clothes, including the katana and dressed, trying not to think about the scar on her shoulder before silently walking down the stairs. Dusk wagged his tail at the sight of her and she allowed him to follow her into the living room where Tamra was.

"How long do you plan on staying here?" She asked her, leaning up against a wall as if worried to sit down.
