Aley let out a sigh, "I know." it was just impossible for her to be so close to where she got her horrible memories from without being reminded of them.

Annabeth said, "Do you know where we are in relation to the town or where Steele kept you?"

Aleu said, "Yeah, I know how to get back to Nome from here."

Annabeth just nodded and looked at the old wolf, "So what now?"

The wolf said, "Well if Steele does get here we'll fight him off here. But considering that only one wolf went with Steele and took the path we took I wouldn't worry." Aleu said, "Maybe it will be safer to not return the way we came from."

Annabeth said, "If one of you is a...spy, no offense Steele could have taken a lot more wolves with him figuring that the marked path was the right path."

Aleu was silent. She doubted there was a spy, since the marker fell off of Kirby and he claimed to have not noticed it. It was probably attached to him without him even knowing.

Annabeth said, "Come on we better keep moving unless we want to kiss our lives goodbye..." Suddenly sounds were heard from the direction of the cave.

The wolf said, "Follow me. We'll lose them in the forest." she started leading the way without waiting for their answer.

Annabeth and Kirby followed close behind. After a few minutes Steele emerged from the cave. "Look our spy has left another marker." He pointed to it to the wolves.
