Meanwhile, Simba was preparing himself for the trip to the Chancellor's office and for the next journey to save the galaxy. The Force was telling him that much work was ahead. In addition to the grief from the destruction of both Taris and Naboo, he was also feeling the feelings that he was beginning to have for Nala. So focused was he that he didn't notice Nala entering the room.

[Regulus]

Nala walked up to Simba. "We need to talk; I think the Mandalorians are going to turn against us."

Simba turned. "You mean we'll face a new Mandalorian War?" he said, trying to keep his attention on what she was saying and not Nala's beauty.

[Regulus]

"Not exactly. This grand army of the Republic I mentioned earlier could very well be the downfall of the jedi. The Sith want us to create an army. Because this army, of Mandalorian origin, could turn around and kill us. We need to make sure that the cubs are loyal to the Republic. If they fall to the dark side, they will betray us," Nala explained.

Simba sighed. "So, what do we do now? I say that, right now, we bring this information to the Chancellor and Vice-Chair, since they are our respective fathers and will likely be willing to listen to us," he said.

[Regulus]

Nala nodded her head in agreement. "Let's go," she said.

Simba took Nala to where the temple kept a small fleet of airspeeders for transport around Coruscant. After finding one, they got in and headed for the Senate building. As they moved, Simba realized that he would have to tell Nala about these feelings sooner or later. "Nala, before we get there, can I talk to you about something that involves the both of us and not the war?" he asked.

[Regulus]

"Yes, that would be great," she responded. "Unfortunately, I haven't been able to take my mind off of the war since we ran into that Sith."

Simba sighed. "Nala, we've known each other our entire lives. We've trained side by side, fought side by side and more. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I have feelings for you, even though I know that sort of thing is forbidden by the Jedi code," he said.

[Regulus]

Nala took a deep breath. "Well, I was going to say the same thing... I just never got around to it."
