Kayan silently nodded but didn't say anything else, not wanting to somehow irritate Amani yet again. The fact that a fight was just avoided meant that he and Kara were very lucky.

[Arani]

Kara nodded as well. She had only been to the creek once and didn't know exactly where it was. So, she waited for Amani to lead the way.

[Daenerys]

[I know this is spam, but congrats on the one year star Rani!]

Amani turned around, still frustrated, and began walking towards the creek, stomping her paws. She began to trot, with more force. She still hoped her cubs would be okay.

Kayan said nothing and silently followed. He remembered that Amani's father went to fetch those 'war claws', but he hoped that they really had fully avoided a fight and not just delayed it.

[Arani]

Kara flollowed along side Kayan, keeping a sharp eye on Amani. "Well this is... awkward..." She said in a quiet enough voice that Amani couldn't hear.

Kayan made sure he was walking close to Kara. Even though a fight was avoided for now, he wasn't taking any chances of Kara getting hurt. Amani's father could show up any moment and in a worse mood than his daughter's. He looked at Kara and whispered back to her, "Yeah, but I prefer this over a fight." he fell silent for a moment, "What's up with that thing she's wearing, this mask? And what are those war claws her father went to get?"

[Arani]

Kara looked at him sideways. "Amani and her father use them when they want to fight someone. It's a way to protect themselves. The mask is so that they can't get killed from a blow to the neck and head as easy, and the claws are used to finish the battle quickly." She explained. "I have some too but I've never worn them. Not very flattering to much of anyone. They always wanted me to help fight off the enemy, but I never did." She said with a laughing sort of grin.

Kayan listened as Kara explained the purpose of Amani's funny looking mask and claws. 'Great, this is just perfect.' now he really hoped they could avoid getting into a fight.

[Daenerys]

While they continued their walk toward the creek, Amani's father appeared, and handed the claws to Amani. Amani sighed and whispered something in his ear: "Take them back to my den, I'll get them later". Her father nodded and ran back towards then den, not saying anything. Amani turned to look back at Kara and Kayan, and began to walk forwards again.

Kayan got nervous as Amani's father came back, only to feel somewhat relieved as he left, taking Amani's war claws with him. If he had heard Amani saying she would get them later he would have probably not calmed down at all. He was still keeping an eye on her, but he felt somewhat better now that her father was gone again.
