That run was different from the others in Melony's point of view. Probably because they had already got the supplies to the destination, so there was less stress.

The run continued. They would hit a checkpoint, spend the night there and then move on the next day. Finally, Hammy could see that Nome was in the distance. He eagerly ran towards it.

Melony smiled as Nome came into sight.

A messenger had seen the teams coming and ran out into the town to inform everyone. A town dog heard this and ran to Balto and Jenna. "Balto, Jenna! The supply delivery teams are returning!" he said to them.

Balto smiled, knowing that his grandson would have never came back unless they got the supplies delivered. "I'm going to greet him" he said to Jenna, got up and left.

By now, the teams were pulling into town. Upon reaching the center of Nome, the teams stopped as the residents all cheered excitedly. Hammy smiled and looked at them, waiting for the sight of his parents and grandparents. Kodi joined his father to congratulate Hammy and his team.

Balto smiled as his son joined him. "Your son would be happy when he sees that you've managed to come here." Kodi was away often because of the mail runs, and even though Hammy understood that, he would still be happy to see Kodi when he arrives.
