The dogs who were not climbing the roof formed a circle around Steele, growling angrilly at him. The vet sighed and went downstairs, "What is it girl?"

Annabeth again scratched at the door signaling she wanted to go outside. Steele said, "Out of my way! This is none of your business! In fact I am helping this town by getting rid of a wolf! You can see if you want!"

The dogs growled at him, "Considering who that wolf is, we aren't letting you go anywhere." The vet sighed, "No no, you're not going outside."

Steele said, "I can always get Luo, her father, to come and kill you and ask questions later but I will be doing you a favor by removing her. He wants her. Besides she is no one." Annabeth again scratched on the door very violently until the bottom of the door had scratch marks all over it.

The dogs said nothing. The vet said, "Oh, that's a new door!" he went ahead and opened it by instinct.

Annabeth then ran outside and Steele pushed the dogs aside. "Well now you follow me wolf!"

One of the dogs bashed Steele across the head, "Yeah, she'll go, but you wont." they looked at Annabeth but said nothing.

Steele however was not knocked out and just growled. "Tell them not to do that or Kodi dies!" Annabeth put up her paw to try and stop them.

One of the dogs said, "I don't think that your father will mind if we kept this guy with us." they just ignored her gestures

Annabeth said, "Please they'll kill Kodi!" Steele laughed, "If I don't return they'll do more than that! They'll take him apart, piece by piece!" He shouldered the dogs out of the way and went over to Annabeth, "Now if you'll excuse me!"
