Geno glared at him once more, "Come near my fawns and you'll regret it." how stupid was that fawn? At some point Geno was going to completely lose it and even kill him if he continued like that.

Karus' son just laughed. "Oh don't worry Great Prince I won't hurt your precious 'Nello and Marena'....much." He laughed and said, "Your fawns? You weren't there Great Prince, you just left them with their mother." He finally left laughing. Ronno looked at Membo. "Come here boy."

Membo was still not willing to believe what everybody was trying to tell him, "No!" he yelled, tears rolling down his cheeks, "She's not dead!"

Ronno brought him close and nuzzled him actually figuring that he could be a good grandparent for Membo. "No of course not Membo. She is right here." He pointed at Membo's heart.

Membo pulled away from him, "That's not the same thing!" Geno wanted to go looking for Garo, but he had no idea where to look.

Ronno sighed and said, "Here eat these leaves. They'll make you feel better." He gave Membo those leaves before. "Now Membo I find in times like these it is good to empathize with another. Would you like to hear something?"

Membo hesitated for a moment, before taking some of the leaves his father offered him and eating them. "What?"
