Zen-Aku laughed. " I'm the fastest wolf ever!" He cheered. Zen-Aku climbed on top of the wolf and howled.

Thor and Aleu were the next to climb up. Thor howled first, then Aleu and then both howled in unison, their howls matching perfectly. For the rest of the pack, it brought to mind the old saying that if the howls of two wolf lovers matched, they were meant to be and would be together forever.

Almost as soon as the Howling ceased, Zen-Aku looked to his Parents. " Mom, Dad, why do wolves Howl?" He asked.

Aleu looked at him. "It's a way of speaking amongst ourselves. A wolf may howl to express dominance, to declare desire for a mate or for any number of reasons," she said.

" Kind of like a long distance message?" Zen-Aku asked in response.

Thor smiled. "In a way. We often use it to tell other packs that this territory is occupied. So far, we haven't had a problem," he said.

Zen-Aku yawned, it had been a long day, with a Stomach full of Caribou and a bone to chew on. "So where do we sleep?" He asked tired, picking up his bone.

Aleu smiled proudly. "There are several dens here. Ours is one that only the alphas sleep in," she said.

Zen-Aku dropped his bone. "Good, I'll be glad to get to sleep." He yawned again.

Thor then motioned towards the family's den. "Then let's get to sleep. Maybe tomorrow, we can go and visit Grandpa Balto, Grandma Jenna and your friend Solomon again," he said.
