War Cheetahs 2 Roleplay!

[Arani]

Kara smiled and turned. "Then come on." She started for the Western border, Kayan close behind. On their way, Kara slowed at her den, taking a look inside. The cubs were still asleep. She Kept on going. "I've been thinking." She started a few minutes later. "Amani never came in last night. I don't know why but it's putting me on edge for some reason." She laughed. "I'm paranoid at times, I guess."

Kayan listened to what Kara was saying, "Well, she said that she's sorry for her recent behaviour..." he thought about it, "You're right, it's still a little wierd though..." he knew he wasn't the one to make such comments, but went ahead anyways; "Uh... Are cubs to be left alone like that?" you didn't need any social experience to know that cubs neede some protection.

[Arani]

"Most days I usually take a walk around the borders before babysitting. By the time I get back their either still asleep or just waking up. They're not early birds, that's for sure." Kara thought about it for a minute. "But... what I'm worried about is if Amani left on another one of her "outings" without telling me first. She'll wake up the cubs before she leaves, she always does. And considering we haven't seen her since yesterday afternoon..." She sighed and looked in the direction her den was at. "I just don't know what she's gonna do. And that's a serious problem. If I don't know what she's doing then... well, then I can't do my job. And that's to protect those cubs." She looked back at Kayan, a glimpse of concern in her eyes. "Amani can be... unstable at times and doesn't know how to handle herself. That hasn't happened in a very long time, but there's always that one time."

Kayan couldn't help but ask, "Why can't she do that? I mean... Those are her cubs aren't they?" and besides it seemed like the only thing Kara was doing was being bossed by Amani. Doesn't she deserve to live her own life without being told what to do?

[Arani]

Kara sighed. "Amani just... doesn't know who she is, I guess. When she had the cubs and when... he was still alive, she was happy. And she was okay. But ever since the accident... Ever since he died, she's never been herself. So I just try to help, because I don't want her to lose it. She may boss me around a lot and make me do things I really don't want to do, but... She was the only friend I had growing up, and I feel that I need to make it up to her somehow." Kara looked at the ground and sighed again.

Kayan didn't know what to say to that. "Well... Uh... have you ever talked to her about how she had changed? I mean, maybe if you did it would somehow help her?"

[Arani]

Kara looked at him. "Believe me, I've tried everything. If anyone knows a way to bring back the dead then I'd love to hear how to do it. No, when ever I try to help her she just yells at me." Kara looked ahead to the distance. "I don't know what to do, but I'll keep trying I guess. If there's a way I'll find it."

Kayan sighed, "Unfortunately that is impossible..." he realised that what he just said wasn't too helpful and tried to cover up for that by smiling at Kara and speaking up once more, "She's lucky to have a friend like you though... Even if she doesn't understand it..."

[Arani]

Kara gave him a grateful smile. "Thanks. I'm just glad I'm able to help out." She looked ahead, still smiling. "And anyway, those cubs are just to adorable to not help out." Her smile grew when she thought of the cubs.

Kayan nodded, "Yeah, they are..." even he would help Amani, even if she was the meanest cheetah out there. By helping Amani Kara had also been helping her cubs, who probably saw a better mother figure in Kara than in Amani.
