Farkus was hesitant to leave Aela with Rahk's, or maybe it was being alone with Silver after all this time that made him freeze. And for Rahks to suddenly trust him with her was confusing him too. But then, even Farkus wouldn't kick off in a temple so he nodded before glancing at Aela, who had a stern look about her. He ignored it and walked into the temple.

"The Dark elves tavern isn't the best place, but there is an inn in the middle of town. I suggest we hire a room and chat there. I have gold. That way we won't be interrupted or have any eaves droppers" Aela said folding her arms, watching Farkus enter the temple.

"Follow me" She said, leading Rahks back into Windhelm.

Farkus entered and settled down on one of the benches in Silver's room. They had moved her to a small stone room and placed her on a bed so she could rest easier. Farkus watched her closely, an unreadable expression on his face.

Rahks walked through the snow with Aela. It had begun to set on the ground, leaving the prints behind them. For a while they moved in silence before Rahks spoke up If you intend of getting a room, at the very least let me pay for some food and drink. No sense in paying for it all alone

"This isn't a lovely meeting between friends, Khajit. If you want food and drink fine, but I just want to talk" Aela snapped as she walked through the snow.

The cold was making her feel rather snappy and unfortunately for Rahks, he was on the receiving end of her current bad mood. Aela pushed the door open to the inn and was greeted by the warmth of the fire immediately. That cooled her head a little and she walked to the desk, asked for a room and passed the man ten golden septims.

"We've got the first room at the top of the stairs" She told Rahks.

**

For an hour or two, SilverEye slept and dreamt of happier days. When she awoke, it took her a moment to realize that she was in a temple and that she was alive. Had what happened in the square actually happened? Yes. Her shoulder gave a painful throb, but looking down she saw the wound had been dressed and treated. Had Rahks?

"About time you woke up" Came a familiar voice.

Turning her head, she saw Farkus sitting there with his arms folded across his chest a stern look on his face.

"Farkus.. did you.."

"No, the Khajit did" Farkus said bluntly.

Silver looked away, wishing that Farkus would just go away. His cold tone and his obvious hatred of her was hurting her so much, but being a nord she kept those emotions locked away as best she could.

"I have one thing to ask you Silver. And I want you to be honest with me" Farkus said. "Why..?"

Rahks stepped in from the snow and dusted himself off from being covered and followed Aela who had already gotten a room. He nodded in understanding and approached the desk, putting down another 10 septims Food for the room you just lent out The owner nodded and took the money. Rahks made his way straight upstairs and into the rented room. He went in standing by the window and waited for Aela who no doubt was on his tail

Aela followed Rahks up to the room. She was thirsty so had taken a bottle of mead from the food the innkeeper had offered them after Rahks had paid. Once inside, Aela closed the door and wandered over to the chair by the fire. The room was small. One bed, a set of draws, a window and set of chairs by the fire in the room. She pulled the bottle off the top of the mead with her teeth and looked to Rahks.

"So, these Sun Legion wish to kill us then, is that right?"

**

SilverEye bit her lip and looked to the floor as Farkus asked this. Why was he doing this to her?

"Farkus.. please... I don't" Silver began, but Farkus grabbed the front of her top and pulled her towards him roughly.

At first Silver though he was going to kiss her, but she looked up into angry and firey eyes so her thoughts were proved wrong. When he began to talk, Silver actually closed her eyes and avoided looking at him.

"YOU WILL SPEAK" He demanded, throwing her roughly back down onto the bed and towering over her.

Silver took a moment to massage her neck. Restriction round the neck always caused her to worry and feel fear and Farkus apparently hadn't forgotten that by the look of things.

"What good will it do?! You know I did what I did for Astrid. It's not like I enjoyed leaving you and my daughter behind. I am in the Brotherhood because it's my atonement and mine alone. My atonement for letting my sister down... For letting her fall into darkness and for letting her walk this rode. Because of me, she ended up there.. I should have been there for her. But instead I... I just thought of myself" Silver stopped and turned away from Farkus now, her eyes threatening to fill with tears again.

"Why.. Why didn't you let me help you?" Farkus went on to say, a little less harsh than his tone before.

"IDIOT! HAVE YOU NOT LISTENED TO A WORD I'VE SAID!??!?! I couldn't have you, or our daughter linked to the dark brotherhood! I couldn't put either of your lives in danger like that!" Silver yelled, spinning back round to face her husband.

Rakhs sat on the bed. At the moment food was brought in and left on the table. Rahks nodded to the inn keep who left in a hurry leaving them alone My guild got word yesterday of the Sun Legions existence. After the Stormcloaks beat the Imperials back, they came up with a new plan to win the hearts of the people and gain control, thus the Sun Legion was made. They have one goal, to destroy any beings of 'darkness'. The Brotherhood, the thieves, werewolves, vampires, anyone linked to them and anyone who gets in their way. What we saw before was a small battalion. As we speak more of them are ravaing Riften and Windhelm

"Whaaat?" Aela exclaimed, allowing her mead to fall to the floor and smash into pieces.

Hearing the fact they were targeting werewolves angered her immediately. She wasn't too bothered about the thieves guild or the Brotherhood for she saw them as criminals, but werewolves? Surely they knew the Companions wouldn't hurt a hair on a humans head so why should they be victimized?

"So, they plan to hunt us all down and kill every last one of us? The fools... if they think we will go down as easy as that, they've got another thought coming. Who is behind this? Do they have a leader?" She found herself asking.

**

Farkus grit his teeth and went to argue back, but no words came so Silver continued, though her voice wasn't as full of anger this time when she spoke.

"You say I don't care, you say I turned traitor. I won't deny breaking your heart and walking out on our daughter, but what I did, I did for the love of my sister. I did it to try and set things right. All I ever wanted was for her to come and live with us as Companions, but she chose to walk the road of Sithis and for the last three damned years of my life i've tried to snap her out of it. Yet... she is leader now and very much in love with the Sanctuary. So I can't leave her... I am stuck and until I can walk out of there with Astrid, then there is no other place for me. Call me traitor, heartbreaker or whatever. But you have no idea.. What torture i've been through. You may think you are the victim here Farkus, but tell me one thing now..." Silver snarled.

Farkus looked up and for the first time since being re-united he looked a little sad.

"If that were Vilkas... would you do what I did?"

Farkus paused and heaved a low sigh.

"I'd do anything for my brother" He said after sometime in a low and defeated voice.

"Then why do you hate me so damned much?"

Rahks paced the room, taking no head of the broken bottle, he took a bite out of the meat provided and a swig of his own mead before passing another bottle to Aela We do not know who the actual commander is, but the Emporer himself signed off on this. We have not had the time to fully look into the situation. As I said we only found out just after noon yesterday, and that they planned to move on Windhelm, Riften and here in Whiterun. As soon as Silver heard that, she was out of Riften faster than you can scream dragon, just to get here in time. Last night they almost took her life while she slept, of course she survived but its not a good sign

"Resorting to killing us in our sleep eh? These men are obviously cowards and adamant that all werewolves and Guild members are scum before even giving them a trial." Aela said thoughtfully, taking the mead off Rahks without taking her eyes off the fire which was burning brightly in the corner of the room.

"But why would the Emporer sign this all of a sudden? It all seems very odd to me..." Aela challenged.

**

Again, Farkus had no come back so he just stared at the floor stupidly, so Silver continued pleased that this hadn't turned into a shouting match and somehow, she was actually getting through to Farkus.

"Im sorry alright? I am sorry I left, I am sorry I left you and left you to raise our daughter alone. Just know, I did it for your own safety and protection. All the time I am linked to the Dark Brotherhood... both of you will be in danger. But until Astrid is free, I cannot return... There is no life for me anywhere else until that day. Farkus.... We need to work together on this though" Silver said a little more urgently.

She swung her legs over the bed and gripped the edges of the bed with her bloodied knuckles for support. Slowly, she looked up at Farkus who met her eyes this time.

"The Sun Legion. Those are the men who attacked you in the square... Rahks and I were tailing them and trying to gather information on them before. These men plan to kill all who have darkness inside them such as werewolves, vampires, assasins and thieves.

Silver then went on and told Farkus everything she knew of them and what her and Rahks had so far discovered and thankfully... He never interrupted.
