I only meant, I don't feel like I'm as Elvish as I should be, Rhinnëa replied softly before laughing as Gweir echoed Lyrea's indignant retort. He snorted.

I only see a good meal.

Rhinnëa shook her head and grinned at Gweir's neck. Dragons were so proud and jealous. "You're silly," she teased, then focused on the beautiful spectacle ahead of her. After they stared for a few hushed moments, Eyulf's arm crept slowly around her waist until he was embracing her gently. Funnily enough, she didn't feel like telling him to back off. Not yet anyway. After a few more minutes, the birds broke away from eachother and flew off.

River brushed off Rhinnëa's comment, but decided to forget it. Dwelling on things didn't change them; besides, she hadn't meant it, and she was her friend.

Wise choice, little one, Lyrea noted, having heard Rivera's thoughts. The rider shrugged, shifting uncomfortably in the black leather saddle. She glanced over at her friend, who appeared to be captivated by the birds- and then she saw Eyulf's arm embracing the elf. A warm feeling overcame Rivera; it had been a while since she had seen someone close to her receive affection from anyone besides herself, or a dragon. She was glad for her friend, and told her so.

Sorry to ruin the moment, interrupted Rivera, but I do believe Zaq is looking slightly annoyed. Granted, the hybrid was never particularly good with emotions, but she was pretty sure Zaq was glaring at the two in front of him.

Rhinnëa moved forward, coloring a little, making her intentions to be released known. Eyulf's disappointment and confusion were not disguised, especially as she glanced back at Zaq. "Is something the matter?" She asked, trying to how her disdain for the human.

"No," he muttered under his breath and looked away, setting his jaw.

Oh? She teased, then sobered. You really can tell me.

Rivera looks at you two and envies, it's obvious, but she won't even try.

Rhinnëa scoffed, And you are interested in helping? I'll believe that when I see evidence. He colored. [/i]Thats what I thought, Mr. Kiss-The-Elf-On-The-Terrace.[/i]

I didn't really mean to-ugh! His frustration was creating a mental storm. She smirked.

What? Did you slip and fall on my lips? Because those things are known to happen.

No! He glared at her over Eyulf's shoulder, before flaring his nostrils and looking away again. Nevermind, go back to your Wolfboy.

Hes not mine, she sniffed, then flipped her hair and turned away. After a moment she flicked Rivera an enigmatic look. I don't think you should give up on Zaq. Not yet anyway.

Really? Asked Rivera, amusement tinting her voice. Because after our trip, I was planning on starting an all-female coven who hated men and regularly sacrificed them to some God. What do you reckon? She saw her friend laughed. Shaking her head minutely, she looked straight ahead to avoid Zaq's stare. She cursed herself for being so awkward, so strange, so un elf-like-

Enough, Lyrea said, her voice filling Rivera's head. He is of no consequence at the moment. And if you keep berating yourself about him, I will simply kick him off of Gweir.

What about Eldárwen? She's his sister. That's hardly fair on her.

Always the voice of reason, Lyrea said softly, though there was some sarcasm apparent.

'Do you know how much longer it will be?' Came a small voice from in front of Rivera. It was Eldárwen.

'I have no idea,' Rivera said sadly, drooping slightly as she realised she truly had no idea.

Rhinnëa laughed. Yes! I will join you! she giggled. Turning to glance back at the two boys behind her, she gave them curious looks. "Alright?" She asked them. They gave her almost dazed nods and continued looking away from her. She shrugged then, hearing Eldárwen's question, called across the distance. "Probably about two days, maybe only a day and a half if the wind favors them."

Settling back in her seat, she wiggled. Sitting so far up on the seat was uncomfortable. Sitting further back would put her closet to him. Gingerly, she touched his coscience. I'm moving back, she informed him, before tentatively sliding back close to him. She could feel Gweir's amusement.

Please, Fair One, Wolfheart, do not plague us with your hesitation, he proclaimed quite publicly.

Rivera swore in elvish.

'Is that elvish?' Eldárwen asked tentatively. Rivera cursed herself.

'Maybe,' she said evasively. The young girl laughed.

'I don't realise the elves had swear words.' Eldárwen said, suppressing laughter.

'Well,' Rivera said slowly, a smile creeping into her voice. 'They do, they just don't tell other races. And they have some of the best insults I've ever heard- and I have been lots of places.'

'She has,' Nellas agreed, nodding.

She's right. Even dragons need curses, and the elves have the best. It was hard to tell when Lyrea was joking, so Eldárwen gave Rivera an uncertain look, prompting her to burst out laughing.

'But,' River said hurriedly, trying not to laugh, 'you can't tell anyone else that. They won't believe you.'

"The elvish have the best of many things," Rhinnëa grinned. "Swords, cuss words-"

"Women?" Zaq teased. Eyulf poked Rhinnëa in the back in silent concurrence and she gave Zaq a mischievous look.

"Well, sometimes it's better to choose the best of both worlds," she said, glancing towards Rivera then laughing and turning back. "But Bardzûl is a pretty good curse as well. And they so will never believe you."

'Aww!' Whined Eldárwen, but then she grinned. 'Good. Then they won't know I'm being rude! Teach me more!' She cried, bouncing up and down like an excitable puppy.

'Fine,' laugh Rivera. 'Provided your brother doesn't mind.' She added, self consciously pushing a few strand of hair behind her ear.

'I don't care what he says,' the young girl answered immediately. Rivera shot an unsure glance over to Zaq, but turned back to the girl (who had turned around to face Lyrea's tail to get a better look at Rivera) and began to teach her.

They spend the best part of two hours teaching Eldárwen elvish (not just swears, but phrases too), with Nellas, Lyrea, Gweir and Rhinnëa all chipping in.

Rhinnëa grinned at the girl's excitement then sagely commented to Rivera, We probably shouldn't teach her. She then shrugged and listened to the lesson, slightl hyperaware that Eyulf an Zaq were listening as well. When the lesson was over, Eldárwen wore a smug expression and Zaq looked as if he were torn between laughing and crying. Honestly, Rhinnëa felt a little sorry for him. Only a little though.

"What other things should we know about elves?" Eyulf asked suddenly.

Rhinnëa gave him a look over her shoulder. "That they are secretive and don't like people to know too much about them." She colored as he murmured "Well, I already knew that".

'They're nasty.' River said. On seeing everyone's expression, she hurried on:' I mean traditional ones- that stay away from humans. Magic and trickery are used in attack and defence, regardless of the situation. And they tend not to like humans, but there are some exceptions.' She grinned lightly at her friend.

Nellas chipped in. 'But they love children!'

'We knew that,' interjected Eldárwen. 'Otherwise I don't think they'd have put up with me.'

They are sly creatures, but usually quite fair. However, deals are usually made when there's something to be done for them, Lyrea informed them. Rivera nodded.

'Sounds about right to me.' She said.
