The Forest on Elk Ridge (Always Open)

Vesir questioned him, a little short on breath, "See... see anything up there, Rzu?"

"Nothing of particular interessst." He replied, gazing around and scenting as well. "Wait....there seems to be a river ahead." It was still quite far, but looked wide.

Vesir rejoiced. "Aw, thank goodness. I'm parched. Alright, herd-mates, a river has been spotted ahead. We'll stop and take a break. Because the rivers will be frozen over soon, drink as much as you can."

Soon enough, Thor and his pack returned. They had killed a deer. Bianca looked at the pack's companions. "We're back, everyone. It was Lyco who actually killed the deer. Thor and I are so proud of her," she said.

Vesir felt a little uneasy about discussing slaughtered dear, but he managed to congratulate her. "Good, uh, job. Heh."

Lyco smiled sweetly. "Don't worry, I killed him quickly," she stated. Thor nodded. "All right, my pack, let's eat," he said. The pack began eating.

Rzu looked down at the wolves. At least there were some other predators around.

Aleeni gave a sigh. At last, something to drink. She sniffed, and definitely could smell the liquid. Aleeni felt energy rush into her body, and she trotted forwards eagerly.

[Misiziri]

Vesir eagerly snuck his snout into the river but jumped backwards. "Brr, that's freezing!"

The calves ignored his warning and were punished with a brainfreeze. The others lapped the water slowly, warming it in their mouths for a few seconds.

Aleeni drank her fill, enjoying the cold and clear taste. She licked her jaws and then stepped back, looking ahead.

Rzu gripped harder as Vesir bent to drink. He wasn't thirsty, but enjoyed the sharp cold scent on his tongue.

The herd had its fill.

"Got enough? Let's leave. Resora, can you help Rzu out now?"

"I guess," she yawned
