Robin did as instructed. "What is this about, sire?" he asked, glancing first at Marian and then back at the king.

I knight thee Sir Robin Longstride, Knight of england, Protector of her people." The King said as as he tapped Robin's shoulders with the sword as was customary. " Arise Sir Longstride." The king smiled, sheething his sword.

Robin smiled as he rose to his feet. "Thank you, sire. I won't abuse this honor that you have given me," he said. He then looked at Marian. "Did you hear that, love? I'm a knight now," he said proudly.

Her eyes began to water. "Oh, Robin... I'm speechless! This is amazing! I'm so proud of you." She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him gently on the cheek.

Robin, then pulled her closer and pressed his muzzle against hers for a few moments before pulling back. "Marian, this is one of the happiest days of my life. Now, all we have to do is wait for your father's approval. In the meantime, I'm going to start planning for my new home. Hopefully, you'll be allowed to share it with me," he said.

"Of course," she said. "But... wouldn't you like to keep your nice home in Sherwood Forest? And what about Little John?"

Robin smiled slightly. "I can keep that as a little getaway home. Rebuilding the home in which I was born would show that John no longer has any power in my life and that he is truly defeated. As for Little John, he can come with us if he wishes," he said, never breaking eye contact with Marian.
