Being the only son of Kiara and Kovu, Tuma was next in line to be king. However, the young lion struggled with issuing orders and solving problems, unsure of himself.

To him, it was less about being king than making his family proud. Which is why, after numerous times of running away from his king training, overwhelmed and anxious of having to address his subjects and make difficult decisions, Tuma was starting to feel like a failure.

He would often sneak away with the lionesses to hunt for the pride, thinking it???s the only way he can make a contribution without letting everyone down.
