Halaya gentley napped in her den until she heard a booming roar, which could be heard miles away. She jerked awake. She looked up and saw her mother and father arguing- again. "Anga isn't my cub!?!?" Jotu roared, "N-No..." Her mother replied. Jotu, Halaya's father, scratched her mother across the face, causing her to fall to the ground. Halaya didn't know what to do when her parents fought, but she knew any violence was almost always her father's fault. She ran, before anyone could see her; she ran and ran until she could barely breathe. Halaya angrily looked back at her father, her eyes full of hate, that is, until she thought, "I guess I need to learn to love him-- again."
