Mbaya sighed, her heart heavy. "All right... here..." She set Ua down on the rock. Ua sat up.
"Oh, my little Ua," Kivuli said. "My precious girl..."
Kapuki, behind her father, had her same stoic, harsh expression, but Mbaya could have sworn that she saw Kapuki smile slightly.
Uangaze, Ua's mother, smiled at the cub. "My beautiful daughter!"
Ua tilted her head slightly. What were these unfamiliar voices?
Shujaa, Ua's other sister, smiled. "Oh, Ua! It's me!"
Ua shrugged her shoulders slightly.
Kapuki narrowed her eyes and dipped her head at Mbaya. "Mother, Father, aren't we forgetting something?" She motioned at Mbaya. "Thank you, Mbaya, for looking after Ua. It is a pleasure to hear that someone actually cares about the well-being of abducted cubs. I am glad you raised her well."
Mbaya smiled a tiny bit. "You're welcome."
"Thanks," Kivuli grunted.
Kapuki picked up her sister. "Thank you again, Mbaya. We are in your debt."
"It was my pleasure," Mbaya said, happy that at least one lioness was being decent to her.

Mbaya has to give Ua back to her parents. Poor Mbaya. <3
