Kukaa was born as a normal cub. But the little tuft of hair that went from her ears to her forehead often made felines mistake her for a male.
Because to some felines, it was proper to name the cub when the cub's eyes opened, her father waited for her eyes to open. After a while they did open. But her eyes were protuberant and unblinking, so her father named her "Kukaa", meaning "stare."Her face had a scowl on it that she wore nearly all the time, making her look even more fearsome.
But deep down all she truly wanted was peace and a family that would accept her, despite her boyish looks and her unblinking gaze.
