Safari walked up to Kikao, blushing. She tried to hide her nervousness... oh, she was a mess, why did she have to go up to him looking like a wreck, why couldn't she have flattened her fur, why didn't she just not do this at all...?
She took a deep breath. "Kikao... er..." She paused. Not sure what to do. "I... I have something to ask. I... uh... I... well... I've been wondering, maybe, would you like to spend an hour or so just... er... hanging around?"
She felt stupid. Her heart pounded; her mind raced... What would he say?
