Appearance:
Large and muscular, Dhakiya looks like she isn't one to tamper with. The scars running across her neck and muzzle, and the tear in her ear make her look fearsome to cubs and youngsters. Her claws are nearly always out.

Her fur is a dark dusky brown, and her belly is only a few hues lighter in coloration. She has a "star" on her forehead that is the same shade as her underbelly tone. She has blood-red irises and bright yellow-ish eye "whites". Her fur is long but thin.

Personality:
As a cub, Dhakiya was shyer and more anti-social. As she grew, however, she was very shunned and cast out for being an "otium", or "peace-lover". She despised battles and war, as opposed to many of the bloodthirsty lions in her pride. She preferred making peace and compromising over fighting with tooth and claw.

At times, Dhakiya can be very defensive, such as about her beliefs. She has a fierce side when she gets harassed or bullied just because of her peace-preferring nature.

This isn't to say that Dhakiya can't be rude at times, or thoughtless or impulsive. Sometimes she says things she later regrets, but usually doesn't really apologize unless she feels it's absolutely necessary. Her beliefs and ideas were different, but she, as well as the others, could have a sharp tongue and get into an argument with another lion.

History:
As a cub, Dhakiya was trained as a fighter. She was supposed to be trained in the arts of battle and raised to believe that killing was victory. Having a bloodthirsty, cruel brother and no real parental figure around, everyone assumed she'd be like her brother- hungry for battle.

She wasn't. If there was fighting breaking out, she'd try her best to put an end to it. She even earned the scars on her muzzle in an attempt to break up a physically violent scuffle between two angry lionesses.
Bullied and told she'd never amount to anything, she never really believed that. She did have periods of self-esteem loss and anger when the bullying went too far, but she found it pointless to dwell on things that happened long ago.

As she grew, she became taller and stronger, but she rarely used her strength. She still preferred to hunt rather than fight over hunting territory. After all, fighting, fighting, and more fighting never settled disputes, it only caused more.

Her mate is a lion named Taddesse. She met him on a journey to the waterhole during a terrible drought, where literally everything was drying up. He was a rogue, but not like her own group. He was kind and compassionate, but gruff and brusque as well.
