Name meaning "Pearl" Gretel's a German name witch is in fairy tales, and In Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Gretel is the daughter of Kiara and Kovu. When she was a cub Mina became her best friend. Mina's parents we never with Mina when she met Gretel, Kiara, Simba, Nala and Kovu at that time because her parents has passed away so Kiara and Kovu took her in as their adopted daughter, Kiara and Kovu knew that Mina will be a very great friend/adopted sister to Gretel. When Gretel was playing with Mina, Muriel was the lioness who always likes to threat Gretel wish that she was dead. But Simba, Nala, Kiara and Kovu will keep Muriel away from Gretel for a while.

She has a cousin named Isabelle witch she only saw her as a adult when Isabelle founded out she was pregnant, so Isabelle as a cub never saw Gretel. But at adult age Gretel never saw Isabelle til she finds her with Cole together.

Until when Gretel and Mina were finally adults, Simba died at old age one day and Gretel was upset because she loved her grand father very much. One day in pride lands on Gretel and Mina were hunting for their first time until Muriel (full adult) started to chase after Mina and Gretel then Kovu and Kiara came to save Gretel and Mina then Nala started to fight Nala until Muriel ran away when she ran away. Nala was so weak she died at that time, one day Gretel couldn't take it anymore so she ran away from pride rock with Mina to find somewhere safe.

Then at the other side of pride lands Gretel and Mina met two lions, one named Ben and the other one was Hansel and then they loved each other as boyfriend and girl friend, til one day Kiara and Kovu went to find Mina and Gretel til they founded them with Hansel and Ben so Mina tells Kiara and Kovu that they are living hear so Muriel doesn't kill them. Soon Muriel comes for a rematch then Gretel chases Muriel to a rocky clfit then Muriel trips over Gretel and she was gone for good.

Then after Mina and Gretel got married Mina had a son and daughter named Mavis and Henry then 2 months later Gretel had son and daughter named Gemma and Simba (after her grand father/Kiara's father)
