Wivu is a well-known lioness in the pride of Mufasa's cousin Mfalme. She falls in love with a prince in another pride named Mosi, and they keep meeting each other until she's betrothed to Mfalme's son, Mkuu. She is extremely sad, but accepts the marriage. Later on, she finds out that Mosi is in love with a cheetah named Nafsi. Desperate to save her true love, she tries to stop Nafsi from marrying him, but Nafsi teaches her that she loves Mosi for Mosi, not Mosi for Prince Mosi. Angered, she attacks Nafsi, giving her a few scars, but Wivu looses the fight (against the odds) and dies.
