In my TLK fan comic, The Lion King 3: Inheritance, Tumoja is the eldest son of Kovu and Kiara. In appearance, he very much takes after his father, Kovu, and grand-uncle, Scar - the latter of which he becomes incredibly sensitive about as he grows older and begins to understand the vile nature of his infamous relative.

Unhappily, despite being firstborn, he's also the runt of the litter, and gets picked on by his younger brother especially. It doesn't help that his nature is laid-back and sweet-tempered, much to the chagrin of both his father and his grandfather, Simba. At this rate, he'll never toughen up to make the next Pridelands king.

His name, roughly translated in Swahili, means 'We are one.'
