For the LKFAA contest ... the theme was to change ALL of the genders of the LK characters, and draw how the "changes" would effect the story.

STORY:
"Your Late" Mufasa smirked. Sarafina looked down at his mate,and cubs.
It had been many months since King Sarabi and Princess Simba had been killed in the freak "accident".
Sarafina knew when the Rouge, Zira became the mate of Queen Scar that he and his son, Nala would be killed.
He also realized that the former queen, Mufasa would have to suffer the same fate. So they had no other choice than to leave the Pridelands.
Mufasa and Sarafina had both been lucky enough to evade hyenas ..but his son Nala had not.
Grieved over their losses they fled into the desert, and slowly began to rebuild their lives.
"Daddy!" Sarafina broke from his thoughts and gazed at his son. The cub resembled him strongly but gained the round face of Mufasa. When they had become mates, Sarafina, and Mufasa both knew that they could never replace what was lost... but somehow through it all they both felt complete.
