I got a whole channel on YouTube, loaded with KH2FM hacking and modding, if you're interested.

Though know how to add registry in Windows is kinda the samething as Linux, because you are doing the samething.
I do like Linux for using far less power to operate then Windows or Mac, though at times, it can get rather unstable. It's what a PS2's OS is actually, it's not that stable.
I think the biggest hardship in programing is the DMA stuff.
