to is a mad, violent lion who hears voices inside his head. When his daughter Sukari (the 1st) gets sick, he thinks it is a sign that he has chosen his mate poorly. He kills Sukari and tries to kill his mate and son too, but Chumvi and his mother Maisha flee from him.

Later, he finds a new mate, Deni. But when Deni finds out what Moto has done to his previous family, she leaves him. Deni gives birth to a daugher that she names after Sukari.
