Mirembe is one of Nkosi's two mates, the other being her cousin Amara. Mirembe is the first one to bear a cub to Nkosi, but because Zalira is a girl, Nkosi "tries his luck" with Amara. Mirembe is a cheerful and a bit naive lioness, and she is in good terms with everyone.
