Mufasa stared at the Pridelands. This was soon to be his kingdom. Mufasa was in no hurry to assume the throne. He was happy as he was; a simple lion cub. But now his training had started. Two sunrises ago, Mufasa's father, King Ahadi, had to fight off an invasion of hyenas. He had his lionesses to help, but they had been vastly outnumbered. Even though the hyenas were weak from hunger and sickness, they still put up a decent fight. Ahadi nearly died, and so Mufasa's mother, Queen Uru, had decided it was time to train Mufasa the ways of a King.
