"Xial, look, I almost caught this one!" Fylu cried in excitement. "Look, this one's on my ear!" Xial giggled in response. The one on Xial's ear flapped its brightly colored wings, and Xial stared in awe. "Look! Xial, look!" Fylu squeaked. Xial swung her head around to look at her sister, who had pinned the butterfly she had been chasing on the ground. The small movement alarmed the butterfly on her ear, and it flapped lazily away. "Hey! Come back!" Xial yelled, leaping for it. But it was already too late. The butterfly was nothing more than a colorful dot, contrasted beautifully against the white clouds that skittered across the sky. Xial sighed. "Look what you did!" she squeaked angrily at her sister, "You made my butterfly go away!" "Tough luck!" Fylu yelled back. Xial gave a mock growl and leaped at her sister, knocking her down and releasing the captive butterfly. "Hey! Fylu cried. Xial smiled. "Tough luck, huh?" Fylu peeled back her lips, revealing her tiny, needle-sharp teeth. "I'll show you to mess with me!" she squeaked before bowling her sister over. They continued to tussle, flattening the grass around them. Saviu chuckled from her perch on top of the hill as she watched her daughters play. She got up, arching her back in a stretch. She focused on the cave mouth behind her. "Nilu, why don't you go play with your sisters?" she called. A tan head popped out of the cave mouth, yawning. "Mom, I'm too old to play with cubs. And they're sooo stupid. They're always asking questions." Saviu smiled gently. "You were the same way when you were little. Now go on. Get your lazy tail down there." Nilu shot an playful look at her mother before bounding down the hill toward her sisters, shouting "I'll show you how to play-fight! You're doing it all- AHHH!" Her words were cut off as both cubs leaped on her, knocking her over and making her roll he rest of the way down the hill. "I think we did it right. What do you think, Xial?" Fylu asked, staring at Nilu with a satisfied look in her eyes. "Nah, I think we need to rough her up a bit more," Xial growled back, lashing her tail playfully. They both lept at their older sister, squealing with joy.

Aw, aren't they cute? I don't think Nilu was amused, though.
