"Taka, there you are," Mufasa said as he approached his younger brother from behind. "You've been... not around as much since Mother died. Are you okay?" he ventured. Taka continued to ignore him. Mufasa noticed Taka trembled when he took deep breaths. "Have you been crying? What's wrong, Taka?" At this, Taka turned his head to face his brother, and replied in a low voice, "It's 'Scar', and I haven't cried since the day Father gave me that name." He turned back to watch the storm. Mufasa quietly headed back toward Pride Rock. Truthfully, Scar had been crying- mourning his favorite parent. But the rain was beating hard, and he didn't mind that it hid his tears.
