As Raven turned, anger fueled by the stench of hyena, she crouched. Betrayed, exiled,son killed, she knew that if she could kill at least one hyena for revenge she could die with mild content out in this wasteland.But as she pounced at the thing behind the bushes, she saw her claws poised at a small hyena pup. The fear in his eyes made her hesitate, and as she slid to a stop, their noses barely touching; she thought only of her son, and the fear he must have felt in his last moments of life. A weakness grew in her. she couldn't do it. She couldn't kill this pup, even if it was the offspring of the very thing she hated most.
