After miles of searching for water, Raven was about ready to give up, lay down, and let the heat and infection take her... But then there was hope... There seemed to be a river bed up ahead... She prayed to the dogs that it wasn't a mirage, or that it wasn't all dried up...

As she reached the river it was near dry, but several small puddles remained... Like a flock of vultures on a carcass, she ran with the energy of a hundred cheetahs up to the first puddle and collapsed before it. Her body sprawled out behind her, her tongue lapped rapidly, and she just dove into the wonderful thirst quenching sensation.

But happiness would soon be short lived as she heard a rustling in the bushes behind her, followed by an all too familiar stench... The awful stench of hyena, the very creatures that Scar had kill her son and Zira used to chase her away after the attack... Despite being weak, she knew the anger inside of her was intense enough to kill several hyenas...

She could smell there was only one, and that was enough to entice her thirst for revenge. She tensed her body, pretending to not notice until the time was right...
