[Mizuka]

This is a piece I did of my character Kanu. He is training with Kufu (Kufunga) on a foggy night.



"Focus now." Kufu ordered in a stern voice as he circled around him. in the tall grass "I trust you with this task." With that, he walked off to a safe distance to study Kanu.

'Focus.....Just focus Kanu. You can do this. Think of what he did to your family. Think of what he took from you.' Kanu thought to himself. He closed his eyes as he centered his energy and rage. He opened his wild eyes and something changed about him. He himself changed. He was ready for this task. He was angry, and he realized that nothing could stop him. With that he ran into a full sprint and lunged.

"RAHHHHHHHH!!" He dug his claws into the animal and quickly ended it. He dropped the kill and stood above it frozen with hatred and sorrow. His body shook and he looked straight at the innocent Gazel's eyes; hard yet weak. 'It was just like me..... Unaware.' He let out a sob. His legs gave out and he dropped on top of the gazel. He wanted to scream out his pain, but refused to because that would show weakness to Kufu.

Kufu came running up. "KANU KANU! Are you alright?!" Ha asked in a panic.

Kanu looked away from him. "I'm fine." He said in a mono-tonal voice, obviously trying not to cry.

"I thought you were hurt."

Kanu didn't reply.

Kufu finally understood that Kanu was hurt. Inside. That is what Kanu had been feeling all this time. He respected him, because he himself couldn't have been this quiet for this long.
