So... I was in the mood to draw some Aolden. This is what happened.
There were so many things I forgot to add to this while I made, but really, I don't think they would do justice, and it seems to capture what I was seeing a bit better anyway.

This image takes place the dawn Aolden left the Bandits. The previous night was when his tooth was cut, as punishment for not stopping a captive from escaping, he let them run by him. So that was his punishment for it.
Aolden isn't one to go diving into a fight blindly, he more likely be the one to flee from a fight rather than fight, since he is that scared of his power over dark energy. He began to be able to use it younger than most, you could say putting him at an advantage, but or a disadvantage really. Since dark energy doesn't seem to be an easy power to wield well, but he has great control of lightning on the flip-side.
This was all he knew, so even though it was no home to him, it was hard to walk away from it, because where was he to go from there? To Sevean~

<hr>The sun peered over the horizon, emitting a vibrant glow across the terrain and a hide-out held by the Bandits. Aolden sat on top of a perch gazing down at the place. The place was rather lifeless at the time, since everyone else was indoors and asleep from the storms the previous night. The previous night, Aolden had allowed a captive feline escape from her cell and run by him. He could have stopped her, he knew he could have. But he knew this feline, and she deserved her freedom, so he gave it to her. At the cost of it though, he had his tooth cut by a shard of ice by another Bandit. He also had some ice crystal covering part of his left-side, and had some injuries from it. But it was nothing compared to the pain of his tooth. He swore his life flashed in front of him when it got cut.

He never liked the Bandits and their motives, but even as much as he hated them, he found it hard to walk away from it. It was all he knew really? He had never even been on a hunt for anything. He was kept somewhat of a secret? He never understood why though? Could be his powers? He doubted it personally, there was something else, but was clueless to what that was.
All these thoughts ran through his as he looked down at the place, but after giving a hard sigh, and looking out to the sea, he shed a few tears and turned away, leaving where he used to live. They would never again trust him anyway, for allowing the captive to escape out-right by how own doing. He was no Bandit. He was more than that. So he was out in the world one his own for the first time.
